If you were an ISP, where would you re-direct 600 logins per day?

    Can anyone advise me?

I run a small ISP. We have around 600 logins per day and currently we re-direct the customer to a small advertising page after login. We don't make much money on that page.

I was thinking of creating a custom Google search page and hoping to make some money from Adsense. Do you think this would work?

    Any suggestions welcome!

I'm already doing that. But why not make some extra cash? I've had no-one complain over the last 7 years about the re-direct...

I if I had a internet company, then I would not do that, because that's spammy if you ask me. I would be more worried about gaining customers from word of mouth than running them away with spammed advertizing. If you want to do that you should offer a email service along with you internet service and have them optin to a mailing list about product offer and updates.

Are they all in the same geographic area? If so, you could setup a local directory and get paid that way.

An advanced Custom Google search /w map+mail/login support, and all that jazz, yeah can work. Go above that, and make it social active, and make a new homepage that your customers will use EVERYTIME!! make $$

If you have upsells for your ISP service, redirect to a landing page that offers them. Alternatively you could try satellite TV affiliates (since alot of people bundle their internet + tv together).

If you own an ISP I really wouldnt do that. It could cause a lot of trouble for your business legally and reputation wise. For example lets say someone takes legal action against you and they loose because you have it in your terms of conditions, you still have to deal with the bad press. If its a big ISP company they can afford to loose a few hundred clients but in your case you cant. That's just my 2 cents anyway.

Thanks for all the feedback. It's appreciated. I think I will just stick with the re-direct to our local directory.
