As some have noted, it seems like there has been a severe uptick in dickhead posts and messages here on bhw the last month or so. And by dickhead I mean:

    1) attempting to spam or scam us (seriously, why waste your time?)
    2) posting forbidden things (offering to sell credit card #s, SSNs, bank logins, etc.), and in tandem with that
2.1) posting things for sale outside of the sales sub-forums (I know, I know, BST was closed to new submissions for awhile, but don't try to sneak around that by posting something for sale in a forum like Blogging)
    3) Posting crap that is supposedly downloads of stuff on the do not share list; such posts are:
3.1) duh violating the DNS list, and
3.2) they are usually not what they claim to be - supposed shares of ScrapeBox and SENuke and a few other apps have actually been pieces of crapware that will phish your logins, focker up your workstation, and eat your babies)

I don't want to step on the mods' toes, but I do want to call attention to section 7 of the Forum Rules for anyone unfamiliar with it:

Posting a reply to a dickhead post that violates the bhw rules just keeps it up in the lists of recent and unread posts. Yes, it can feel cathartic to try to call out someone who has posted digital feces, but it just helps promote their post. Instead, click that big old Report button. This will get it reviewed and dealt with by people who can actually do something about it, rather than further promoting the dickhead post.

I hear you. Never a bad idea to ask a second opinion or to read a post a second time before responding to it. But I see a lot of replies (not by you, jammo, just by people in general) on threads that are in violation of the rules. I don't think people mean to do this, but those replies just keep shining light on the verboten posts.

People, don't fall for their bait - just report the fskcers and move on.

i never thought about that, but yea it's pretty obvious if i answer it bumps up these threads as well (and that's what the thread starter wants in these cases)...so thanks for the heads up, i often hit the report button, if i realize something against the rules, but sometimes i comment as well, i won't do this in the future unless if it's really necessary
