I've been looking at expired domains to build my own blog network. In trying to find the best domains with high PR that I can, I've been trying various tools to look at the backlinks. I have scrapebox, and free subscriptions to Ahrefs and OpenSiteExplorer. I also have the SEO Spyglass Suite. SEO Spyglass does a great job of finding the backlinks, but it can take hours to get all the backlink factors. This doesn't work well when you want to look and find the best domains quickly. A database backlink service seems like the way to go. Ahrefs seems to quickly provide what you need in the sense that you can only see a few of the BLs in the free report, but they are ranked by domain/page authority so you can find the links that are giving the high PR. I've tried using Moz, and Majestic, the free versions too and I don't find them as easy to navigate as ahrefs. Majestic is cheaper than ahrefs, the first paid level is $49 versus $79 for ahrefs. I am trying to figure out if I upgrade to the first paid level with one of these services, and assuming my time is valuable, will I find that I've spent the money wisely? Also, is my sense that ahrefs is easier to use shared by others, or should I make the effort to learn to use Majestic or Moz?
