    I'm surprised this scandal hasn't made bigger news. The media is always talking about sex slavery that perverts are supporting, but dozens of times more people may be supporting this type of slavery without even knowing it.

    people don't care about bad things or other people's problems until they themselves are negatively affected, or it makes for a good news piece. ever notice that when celebs do "charity" work there's always a camera nearby. :D

    hollywood is chock full of pseudo bleeding-hearts who love to make a public showing about their "deep" concern for others.

    this concern is usually expressed (via a surrogate publicity agent) by repeating that well-worn catchphrase, "my thoughts and my prayers are with those poor people"

    ... and often doing little else. whoever dreamed up that corny line is a freaking genius.
