Seriously - sometimes this place is like watching a load of teenagers in a Porsche showroom.

Shall I buy this? What does this do daddy?

    Knowedge first - toys later.

But Xrumer - browsing today I could post on 100 other people's threads and poke fun at the sheer fecking ignorance of people.
It does this - it doesn't do that?

Then all the fancy WEB2.0 creation toys that make your lovely Wordpress.com blog spring up like magic...

When in fact all they are doing is cutting and pasting - very slowly and almost always very inaccurately the bare minimum of information in a cookie cutter "look at me - I'm using a self promotion tool" kind of way.

I could go on every thread and point out the erros, and why people have got their priorities 100% the wrong way around - but instead of trolling other peoples threads - i'll post here.

    First Xrumer.

    • Xrumer is NOT expensive. It's $570 plus $10 a month for LIFE. If you set it up right - that's CHEAP. Hosting it on private servers?..now THAT will be expensive (think 40-50% of the cost of a new Xrumer license each and every month for hosting)
    • Xrumer CAN be hosted on a PC at home. But if you want to use your internet connection for ANYTHING else - only run it at night - and use proxies, and it will STILL be 10x slower than a server based set up.
    • Xrumer is Eastern European. There are NO decent instructions AT ALL. There are people selling shitty videos of how you set it up that COST MORE THAN XRUMER ITSELF - (and are complete crap to boot)
    • Xrumer is HARD TO MASTER. If you know diddly squat about web programming then don't touch it with a barge pole. Even if you DO know about web programming - be prepared for a hard slog. The menu titles are not what you'd expect them to be - nothing is "standard" and everything comes out of the box "not working" and requiring quite a lot of technical configuration. Like I said it's native Russian (or Hungarian or wherever) It is NOT LIKE SCRAPEBOX at all! Think 50x more complex to set up than scrapebox or similar.
    • Xrumer is UBER POWERFUL - There is nothing wrong or unusually "spammy" about the lnks most create with it. Google seems to like them as much as they like anythung else. However 70% WILL NOT STICK AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE TO POST THEN MAYBE 95% WILL NOT STICK
    • Xrumer is NOT the "be all and end all". There is software that does a similar job. In fact if you are going to run a home based setup -then get Sick Submitter instead - with the right packets it will post the same content to the same sites, and although there is still a learning curve, most people with an IQ the right side of 100 will suss it out in a day or two.
    • Xrumer services can be worth it - This is my real point.

You see it's having a massive number of backlinks juicing your web structures that takes time.
Having a shiny expensive tool to create the web structures in the first place is the easy bit. It's doing something you could do yourself (and far better) in an hour or so.

But the WE2,0 creation tools look "glamorous" "You press a button and they create sites for you...wow..like sites...wow..I must have one"

Everyone here wanks on and on about web2.0 creation stuff. Linkwheels, blah fecking blah.

They are EASY, you can make one by hand in an hour or two.

I know these WEB2.0 structure making tools look all shiny and it's nice to actually see palpable text spring onto the screen and mini sites with your content appear as if by magic - but seriously WHO GIVES A ****!

Making a ten spoke link ring with your own content (which - and lets face it - you have to write or outsource anywway) takes less than an hour once you have some practice.

However, creating 60,000 backinks a month to juice your web structures - well that HAS TO HAVE automation or outsourcing - it's just not possible to do by hand.

SO before you start faffing on about Xrumer - understand what it does.
Before you get all excited (and get a warm little glow in your tummy) about crappy WEB2.0 creation tools, consider how fecking easy it is to do that work for yourself (not so exciting - but pretty easy and quick)

Then realise that - when you are starting out what you REALLY need is someone to create tens of thousands of low tier links for you, a task that no-one - no matter how many hours they work a day - can do themselves.

The way I see it, I can create a 10 spoke hub every day with ease (4 hours MAX) including content.

What I can't do - even if I worked 24 hours a day - is get a few thousand backlinks to those structures - not without good tools

Of course, once you are making money, then add the fancy/dancy tools to your kit. But early doors - getting a service to supply the structures you knock up with thousands of links is the key.

All the pretty Squidoo lenses and Wikispace pages and Live Journal blogs will do you **** all good if they aren't juiced up. No matter how excitig the tool that made them was to watch.

Sorry for the rant, but for what it's worth, my take is simple.

Make good web2.0 structures with multiple posts and full profiles (ie upload a photo - fill in the "about you" or "hobbies" bit - it takes 2 minutes to do the lot

Then pay someone or buy the tools to juice these up NOT spend your money on fancy web2.0 creation tools and sit and wonder why no ****er comes to them

In case your wondering. A decent RSS submitter costs $10 (there are several) No keyword tool is that much better than Googles keyword tool (some are a bit - but none that much) Tubemogul and similar offers multiple video uploading FREE and BMdemon (for a one off fee) pisses all over the bookmarking setups that crap like SENUke or Magic Submitter offer.

Don't pay for what you don't need.

And in the case of most people what you need is a massive number of links not a fancy tool to make (and often fail to make) WEB2.0 structures that leave a massive footprint because they are made without half the profiles filled in (and often just fail to get made by under-serviced and expensive tools in the first place)

Pay for what you can't do - not what you can do yourself easily.

    Ok - Rant off/

    Scritty

I think you meant Errors :p

lol sorry couldn't be helped, but i do agree with general message of your post. I actually teach new xrumer users on skype for an extremely small fee and its mind boggling how many people buy the program and have no idea what they are getting into. And unless its been changed recently its $540 for xrumer and although it does say $10 a month .. i have never had to pay an xrumer monthly fee for as long as ive had it and i havent heard of anyone else paying it either :p

i use it from my home pc with a 25/25 fiberoptic connection and it seems to do ok at around 75 threads ... if i go any higher than that it will kill my dns server for some reason heh .... it all depends on your specific ISP

New users opting into Palladium 7 will be paying $570.

It's really the need for massive links that's the point. Xrumer is tempting - but for most people buying it is also wrong.

I speak with knob heads with one 30 page site who are considering buying it.

On the other hand I meet people with no linking strategy WSE who buy a fancy WEB2.0 tool and wonder why it creates so little real traffic to their money site.

IMO priorities for many is way off. A Blogger page takes 5 minutes to set up, and you can do a whole link ring in an hour.

Getting 30,000 links behind those structures.... well that's not so easy.

But people will willingly pay for the former and ignore the latter.

    Dozy gets.

    Scritty

I can run a steady 40 threads at night on my brothers home based Xrumer. But for the dozen or so sites I promote, that works out plenty.

People simply get amazed by the possibility of having 1000´s of the same ****ing pattern profile links linking DIRECTLY to their home.

Most of them don´t even know how to get the links indexed, and If they do, they get sandboxed by doing so.

Thousands of low tier links should support link structures(mininets, linkwheels whatever). This way you FUNNEL the link juice. Google will never sandbox blogspot and the likes. OP is on the spot. Listen to him.

Point your Xrumer, scrapebox or whatever it is that you use to mass build LOW TIER links to your mininet/linkwheel/whatever and you can fire as much as you want.

Just don´t ****ing expect that google will buy the fact that you magically got 30k links built on the same day pointing to your main site with the same footprints abused over and over by "professional xrumer blasters" and love you for that.

Gotcha. THere are a few advertised here. DOn't want to promote any specifically as that's not my point.

Check out the services forum, and look for those who have done loads of work and have good write ups. 2 or 3 are pretty good and vary slightly in price and the control of service they offer.

I suppose it comes down to Xrumer being a great tool really, but not for everyone to use an an owner. Fo rmany it 500 bucks flushed down the loo.

In IM the expectation has to be on return. If you buy a service for $100 a month, how long will it take before it pays for itself?

I read about people dropping tools after months because the price went up twn bucks. I rarely read about them saying "This tool costs $79 a month, but I make $240 a month,"

I suspect many who say these thngs have never made very much at all.

If they have, then why - after having a decent tool for months - is a ten dollar price hike scaring them off?

It either earns or it doesn't. It's mathematics not emotion.

It's only emotion if you are "playing" at IM and pissing in ponds you can't afford to wade in - with no cocking idea what you are doing.

Like I said, I suspect that's the vast majority of people who claim to be in IM - blackhat or otherwise.

Ah.... the newbies who think that tools are automatic money making machines...

I don't have xrummer, but I have read a lot about it and indeed it seems complicated as hell. I'd rather spend my time working on my 150+ sites than spending all day learning how to use some russian stuff, so I just go to the services section, buy some good blasts, and make a killing.

But you will always have the morons that buy a tool, use it with no idea what they are doing, fuk up completely, and then come to the forum crying about how the tool sucks and asking why can't they get their spam to stick

    Yeah, that too.

I rarely point Xrumer at my own site, and if I do it's only on a site with hundreds of other links already there. (sometimes I point it at a brand new site - just to speed up indexing - after all it's not in SERPS anyway to begin with)

WEB2.0 sites provide juice AND protection.

They are important - but they are also piss easy to make.

Get something like roboform or a programmable keyboard and you can churn out good Blogger or WP.com sites in minutes (given that you have to have the content anyway - automated or not)

The advantage is - you get away from the crappy "lowest common denominator" sites that these WEB2.0 creation tools throw up. Ones with the most limited profiles and no changes in theme, and in many cases only one post possible,

Shit - If I was a google spam hunter, these "half cocked" sites would be the first thing I hunted down and devalued. They stand out like a sore thumb. No REAL enthusiat makes a site as shoddily as the messes these crappy tools chuirn out.

I mean you claim to be really into "ringtones" or whatever. But you don't fill in half your profile, you leave the standard background (a picture of some kids pushing a toy boat or whatever) you don't even let anyone know who you are and where your from.

Half cocked profiles must leave a footprint the size of a yeti walking through a field of daisys

Totally agree with this part, I am so sick of seeing retards ask obvious questions instead of searching on g00gle or here.

"What is xRumer, what does it do?" - JUST ****IN G00GLE IT OR SEARCH HERE!

Same with tons of question like "what does so and so do"......

So annoying how some people are really thick and cant use a SEARCH engine to find information first.
