    Hello,

Just wanted to ask about ifttt.com seems like a useful site, however, you never know if to trust a site or not.
Anyways, just curious if anyone uses it and their view on it.

    Thanks!

Looks like a cheap data mining tool. I only looked at their facebook app but here is what they request:

    • Your basic info
    • Your profile info: description, activities, birthday, education history, groups, hometown, interests, likes, location, website and work history
    • Your stories: events, notes, photos, status updates and videos
    • Friends' profile info: birthdays, likes and locations
    • Stories shared with you: photos, status updates and videos
    • Permission to access your data when you're offline
    • Your app activity from: music apps, news apps and video apps
    • Friends' app activity from: music apps, news apps and video apps

The project might be useful for someone that monetizes on every single social media platform but for an end user I don't see the value here. To each is own but I won't bother

Indeed, however, I was not planning on giving it any personal use. Social networks play a MASSIVE role for me in IM, and I though it could be a decent tool.

Just dont wanna be giving away my password and then losing my accounts
