... your food in a togo bag, does that mean they want you to get the fuck out?

This is with only 2 or 3 hours left before the restaurant officially closes and over 50% of their tables are empty.

And you've only been in the restaurant for 40 minutes.

They don't want you to get out.... they just want you to pay your check so they can do their check out, and leave for the day..... you can sit there as long as you want, they don't give a shit about that.... just pay your bill so they don't have to wait for you , and get cut ( to probably to go to their next job).

I did that shit for 10 years so know exactly what I'm talking about :)

exactly... the managers are starting to send people home, but they can't go home while they have open tables. If they did a good job, let them get on with their lives. :) You can stay as long as you desire, just not with an open tab running.

Yeah that is what it sounds like.I had a similar experience. I brought a few beers from a bartender at this bar,and before i could take a sip,the bartender had followed me across the bar to see how we were doing and if i need another beer.I took the hint and left. ;)
i answered this on yahoo too :)

It depends on which country you are... mostly in 3rd world countries that means fuck off, as their brain doesn't work properly and they couldnt understand you might be a returning customer and make them more money so they behave like trash to customers.... but in developed countries, that mostly mean you need to pay the bills so they can do their other works

if they come to you and say do you need anything else that means you should leave

This is in the USA. Yeah, I'll just assume that it all means I should get the fuck out.

Same as I've concluded that when I'm in a grocery store or electronics store and they keep coming up to me asking if I need help that it's a form of theft deterrent and I'm a possible suspect.
