Pretty sure there was life before the internet. Food would be traded for money no?

If the internet was to be disappear, many businesses will fail. Apple won't make any online sales, food companies won't make online sales. Internet marketers won't make any sales from any methods they do. Probably the world would have a meltdown. (Not literally.)

I'd probably turn to a brick and mortar business.

90% of money is not physical, its in databases around the world.

    No internet no money.

    24/7/365 purge senerio.

So this is how it goes.

I rob a car, a land rover probably. A go anywhere type of car.

I drive 22 miles to a near by city called preston.

I find my ex's father, and I kill him.

That is what I will do if the internet is destroyed.

Lol... so much spoken by the young. If tomorrow the Internet was irrevocably destroyed the world would go on. Yes it would take time and some businesses would faul, but marketers would go back to the telephone or even *gasp* door - to - door, and other folks would adapt as well.

Don't humankind so short... it's more resilient than you give it credit for.

    Just my .02 worth,

NO internet is better than this artificial life... Friends say hello on social network and then forget you for a year.
People will actually meet and discuss plans. They'll do physical jobs.

This. If internet was wiped out tomorrow, I'd get a forwarding number, buy 1000 bandit signs, go out at night and spam the crap out of my town.

TBO, I was thinking about doing this anyway cause of all the G updates.

Why would I work at a fast food restaurant? I would just become a forensic locksmith. I know a few locksmiths who can help me get started with becoming a certified locksmith, and then I believe I would have to procure another certification to become a forensic locksmith.

There's also the option of converting my current company into a regular marketing company (which I believe it is already registered under anyway). Internet marketing is only one form of marketing, and I'm pretty sure I could find a way to create an offline affiliate network to make money (we can all communicate through text messages and phone calls :)).

First thing, quickly buys shares on telecommunication companies, their price will rise.

Internet is just a channel, it is nothing more than channels. It is just a method to communicate, it's demise will not disable people from communicating. It's back to telephone and mobile age, which is just a short years back.

Some companies will collapse, but most don't. Oil mining business will continue. Banking will have big problems, but will continue. Management consultancies will continue. Lawyers will continue. Cleaning services, medical services, etc. will all continue. Some people may be Internet-addicts and can't cope, but humankind is resilient creature and we will cope with it.

And in short time, the world will re-invent Internet again, and at that time there will be thousands upon thousands of search engine, each of them will try to emulate Google's success, but all of them will fail. Probably the old Google will came back, and rule the Internet once more.
