Someone brought up the idea of writing a book about my recent situation and selling it to help raise money for attorney fees, and I was just wondering. If I were to do that, and how many people would try to promote it for me.

For something like this I would post your story on indiegogo or another crowdfunding site for better exposure/donations.

Not to diminish your win, but their have been huge child custody cases in the US especially. Even in the past year there was that story about the man who came back from the army and discovered his (ex?)wife gave up their baby for adoption and forged his signature. The baby was adopted by a family and they had to return them to the father (story here). Not to mention the endless stories of the government taking away people's kids wrongfully or not and them turning their lives around to be able to get their kids back. If you turned your story into initiative to maybe start a resource site for parents in the same predicament you found yourself in that outlines various state or other country laws etc. specific to your case, I think that would be a good idea related to your experience. I don't know your exact full story though so just speculating.

Thanks. I have to respond to this because it is similar to something I came up with today. I was speaking with my wife while taking a walk to our sons new school and I told her that I want to change the direction of the non-profit organization that I will be forming. At first I wanted to set it up to help others sue cps and spread the word about what they do. But then today I got to thinking that it would be better to turn the negative into a positive and instead of helping them sue, we could help them in other ways like help them pay their rent for a few months while they get on their feet to help them get their kids back sooner, and give them information that will help them.

So when I seen this comment, it helped motivate me a little more. Thanks :)
