Not to diminish your win, but their have been huge child custody cases in the US especially. Even in the past year there was that story about the man who came back from the army and discovered his (ex?)wife gave up their baby for adoption and forged his signature. The baby was adopted by a family and they had to return them to the father (story here). Not to mention the endless stories of the government taking away people's kids wrongfully or not and them turning their lives around to be able to get their kids back. If you turned your story into initiative to maybe start a resource site for parents in the same predicament you found yourself in that outlines various state or other country laws etc. specific to your case, I think that would be a good idea related to your experience. I don't know your exact full story though so just speculating.
