If I upload my first video in a low competition niche today, how long before it ranks?

On youtube is it less than a week, but Google search results are still something like 6-8 weeks?

Obviously, I would be performing link building, getting social signals, and HR views.

You can rank your video in under 24 hours, depending on how aggressively you promote it. Once you do it a few times and start getting a rhythm going, you can spank them out pretty quickly.

    For example:

    1. Upload the video, while it's uploading - set the custom thumbnail and let the rest load.
    2. Throw the URL into Vagex and just set the views to 30 seconds, and have EVERYTHING except custom comments. Put around 2K credits.
    3. Grab custom comments via my method. I wrote a tutorial, you can go find it in this section - shouldn't be too hard. Once you have that, put it into U2Bviews and let a few hundred comments start pulling into your video.
    4. Get some views going. You can order them from many places, I won't hold your hand on that.
    5. As soon as you see the first wave of views coming to your video (Let's say...5,000), go over to AddMeFast and hardcore push your likes with around 300-400 likes. With AMF, your likes will hit harder than Vagex.
    6. Same thing with AMF, but also put 100 favorites.
    7. Follow this guide. Make sure you have every single aspect he tells you to do. If you physically can't do one step of it, it's okay.
    8. Wait for your money to roll in.

To answer your initial question, it will TYPICALLY be longer to rank in Google because and only because it obviously has a higher search volume. For example, if you look at the same keyword via the YouTube Keyword Tool, it'll have massively less searches per month compared to Google Keyword Tool, due to nobody searching for your keyword on YouTube, that's why it's important to rank it on Google.

I am starting to get a hang of ranking on Google myself, but it does take more effort than YouTube ranking, that's for sure. But it's 10X more worth it, definitely.

Great stuff! Thanks. Do you think I could have videos ranking in Google itself in less than a week with decent Tier 1's and signals, on top of all the other stuff you just mentioned?

If I could do it for various keywords, you indeed can too.

Another thing I forgot to mention...add an annotation with your keyword in it. For example:

"Hey guys, did you get your FREE Microsoft Points? Press the LIKE button if you did!"

    1. You'll catch stupid people who think that's why 'everybody' liked it.
    2. It's another keyword slammed on top of your video. The more you build your video up, the better.
