Hi- I was hoping if you would be kind enough to offer advice. I'm thinking about selling some links via linkworth and text link adds. With panda update and do you think google will detect I amselling links and blacklist my site? I would prefer not to have to manage the sale of my links that is why I would like to work with a service.

    Cheers

    The short answer is no.

Coincidentally the long answer is also no.

You'll be fine. Google is not some giant Skynet that people think it is :) As long as those links are semi-related to what your site is about (which they will be), and you don't have hundreds of them going out to all sorts of junk/spam sites in completely random niches (again that's not how those services work), then they are just links from just a site, just going out to other sites. Now go make some money.

I know that Google would have no clue if I created a somewhat natural backlink if I DID NOT use a backlink service. I am assuming that the backlink services are going to put some script into the link. You are saying that Google will not be able to track such? Thanks for your time

Anything is possible, but these services have a vested interest in not allowing google or any other search engines to see any script on any links. If their publishers started loosing PR or worse being de-indexed they suddenly have a whole lot less real estate to play around with. But yes, as with all things in this game you are taking a certain amount of risk to take in a certain amount of reward i.e. $$$. Is your site making a nice bit of monthly revenue without selling the links via sales or adds? If so, maybe consider a bit longer, if not, then why do you have a high PR property that isn't generating you income? Sell the links, and even if something should happen (which I doubt), then at least your property wasn't just sitting around collecting dust.
