If I purchase "real" visitors, then will this improve my PR and knock the others down ?

Hello,

I was wondering if I purchase some "real" visitors to a website that is currently on Page 1 but rank 6, and lets say it's 1000 visitors, then will this help me "jump" a couple a few spots Up ?

Or...

Will this just totally mess up my current ranking and knock me down ?

I haven't tried yet (obviously) because I don't want to ruin my current rank and get like slammed to the back or something.

Any input is nice.

The amount of visitors to your site has nothing to do with how you rank in search engines, or your page rank.

If you want to rank better get backlinks.

Yea, see I have alot of Backlinks but there has been alot of competition in this particular niche in the past couple days and my rank keeps going up, then down, then up again.

Also, about how long does it take for the Social Bookmarking links to give some "juice" to the site ?
