If i own a site, can i set links to ********?

    well,

    I can access PR7 site and want to get a nice backlink but not sure if its ******** or not, so is their anyway i can edit it to make sure it is?

    meta tags?

    I really at no good at this part of the SEO stuff!

    Unless there is a complicated robots.txt file, as long as a link is not rel="nofollow" then it will be considered a ******** link.

    mint, i'll try that next time i have access. Should work though, don't see why they would set anything otherwise!

    Its my university webhosting. I happen to go to quite a popular uni, so i might aswell make the most of it!

    Jammie,

    You should be able to see the robots file, from there you will be able to determine if it is a ********, and btw if the site is PR7 id does not necessarily mean that the page where you will but the link has PR

    Yeah....just go to the website, click on View>>Source and once open, type Cntrl+F for the find and replace feature.

    Type in "nofollow" and see if any of the links of that page are picked up. If not, then you are in the clear!
