IE8 Horror Stories!!

do you have a IE 8 Horror story, I do I do, just installed it last night and since then my computer has been under constant attack from a "FamilyRoom" ????? I got all the info like IP and what have you. But I can't uninstall it! And I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar story.. oh when i say constant since about 12pm my computer has been attacked over 139 times

Simple solution: Don't use IE.

yup IE sucks ... Also i guess this is basic Microsoft quality which means release some shit program and patch the security holes on the fly as people start reporting , saves lots of money i guess

I am now using ff but the ie is still installed in cp there is no remove for ie.....arghhhhhhhh i have ok security i wish it could remove the virus or as it likes to call it "trojan fakeadvat" should i do a reboot of the whole computer u know shut down and on restart press f10 it has attacked over 1000 times today

Wow, where should I start. IE disgusts me and so do the people who act like they don't have any problems when they're using it.

ff is the only way to browse. I did upgrade to ie8 just to see what it was about and have a toolbar on there that they dont make for ff yet but everytime i close ie it crashes it sucks so bad.

Update: Ohhh my so after constant attacks I finally configured norton with help of my best friend and let me tell you I have never ever been so disgusted and so annoyed. It was a all day/night battle I never used ff it just hung out, I am not a technical person so seeing my computer/my living/my money under attack made me ill. no more ie for me norton as of this morning went thru 1342 seperate attacks. I think it is tired and thinking man she is a dumb ass.

i don't mind IE8, keep in mind i use FF way more since i think its a far better browser. I need IE for remote access into my sbs server and a couple of other things that just will not accept FF. Sometimes i just rdp in thou.

MS have made IE8 very difficult to remove - especially on XP. Most times you need to uninstall service pack 3 before you can remove IE8, then reinstall sp3 and reload IE6 or IE7.

Golden rule: never use any MS product until its been on the market for at least 12 months.

1. dump MSIE

2. install FireFox or SeaMonkey

3. the end

i'm happy with IE6 and 7 frankly, hardly use FF

ya know darkmobius I was ok w/6/7 but now I am not if ie is so easy to transmit ikky stuff like trojans or what have you I don't want it. I was so upset

I hate IE, I also cannot stand using friends laptops/PC's, everytime I seem to use one they have like 20 toolbars installed and around 300px to see the website in underneath all of the adware toolbars that have been installed.

IE is slow, messes up your PC, has lots of flaws and security issues.

My friend installed IE8 and his cracked version of office stoped working

IE8 is a POS but unfortunately we have to optimize our site for IE6,7 and 8 as a big % of the users use this crappy product thrust upon them by Microshit.

Dude! Tell me about! I cringe when someone asks me to help them with their computer and I see Yahoo, ask.com, and like 3 other random toolbars installed. My mom does that shit all the time. I will uninstall all the toolbars on her computer, and then the next week they will be there again. I'm like "wtf mom do you use the goddamn ask.com toolbar???!!!! Then take it off!"

Haha, I'm not the only one that gets pissed off seeing them things then

I just sit there and look at their screen like wow, you must have made someone a lot of money installing all this shit you have on here lol.

I upgraded to IE8 and down graded to IE7 the next day. It was far too buggy and a lot slower, i will give IE8 another shot after they patch the heck out of it but for now i don't recommend upgrading.
