send out spam saying you're from the Ministry of Absolute Light and have discovered a secret healing crystal or sand you can only get from the bottom of a non existant lake in old syria or bethlehem

offer to ship it for $5, and include instructions with your useless sand that if they sprinkle it over a cheque mailed payable to your ministry for another $5 or $10 they will have a year of incredible fortune and health!

seriously, peter popoff and benny hinn do this and make untold millions a year

I know one thing, if there's demand, there's the offer. Trust me, spam will die when people will stop clicking on it = never. People will still look at that Viagra mail in their Spam box, because ... they need it.

On a side note, quote from the article above:

As an aside, my younger brother has had to completely reinstall his operating system due to malware more times in a year than I change my underwear

Man, reminds me of a joke: "Just took a bath and it's New Years' Eve again".

The best bit about all this is its not even including the super-noobs who dont everb have the web yet, or let alone the ultra-mega-noobs who dont own a pc yet.

Plenty of exploitation to be had..
