    Hey All,

I am looking to help grow my company's IT consulting firm. Currently we install VoIP systems across the country and offer full time IT consulting for a monthly price. My boss wants me to head up the online marketing efforts in return they are giving me 20% Net on all sales and on monthly maintenance contracts. I am looking at this as I can be their own affiliate. Any idea on how I can target this kind of market?

    -PPC Campaigns
    -SEO
    -Media buying

I can't really come up with anything else at the moment.

Thanks man. What companies do you suggest I look towards? I am more of a PPC guy more so than media buying.

Go to the download section, find an offline marketing and adwords product, study it,
Go back to your boss and ask him what is their budget and away you go.
Or you could hand it over to me and get 5% for doing absolutely nothing while being
paid and be the bosses new company hero.

Study your keywords, see the estimate CPC and number of clicks. Present a budget example to your boss and number of clicks your company would get. Find out what the current conversion rate from current potential client to converting lead is. Use that with the number of clicks you would estimate and calculate estimated conversion your company would get. It would be easier for your boss to understand if you present it in a simple way:

I estimate CPC to be $3.75 and if we would get 1000 potential clients for $3750. Our current conversion rate is 5% so that would mean 50 new clients.

If you want to be fancy you can present cost per new client. Your boss will be able to multiple 50 new clients by average upfront revenue each client brings as well as ongoing support. You should also mention to your boss that your campaign can be optimized and the CPC, number of clicks and conversion rates can improve and its ongoing effort.

    Good luck!

Thank you great advice. Yes, I have done all the keyword research and presented this to my boss last week in the meeting. His quote "You can't make sales online I tried adwords and it didn't work". Yet he wants me to generate leads and make sales with NO advertising budget. I run PPC campaigns for my site and I do great with it.
