Hello!

I just published two coloring books for adults on Amazon KDP and want to figure out the best way to promote them. Looking for advice from first hands, if you did something similar and it worked (or not worked, as "don't do this" advice).

I understand that marketing coloring books is different from marketing fiction or non-fiction prose since it's targeted at very different audiences.

So far I priced them just above printing costs to keep the price low and enticing to the potential buyers. But what next steps should I take?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice. Planning to add a few more books, so I want to figure out what marketing works.

Share screenshots of semi-finished and finished (colored) pages, on social media. Focus on teachers and professors, they might recommend to their students, amplifying reach that you wouldn't have. Maybe offer them discounts or referrals. Also target caregivers, they can reach senior and elderly groups of people, many of them don't have much going on in life.

Why do adults need coloring books? Beyond that facts that some enjoy it. Does it help with concentration, anxiety? Write about how adult coloring books can help solve these problems.
Have you looked into PPC? If you go for that, I'd suggest selling the pdf yourself rather than through Amazon.

So, blogging about it. Thanks, haven't tried it yet.

No, haven't considered PPC, what is it and how would that work with the PDFs?

PPC is just a form of paid advertising in which you pay per click. Google Ads is a good example of that.

Thanks for this tip, I was only sharing the blank pages.

and

What is the best way to target them? Posting in their FB groups? Or some other way?
Yes, FB ads would have nice reach for adult / elderly, not sure how much groups would work. Simple images with adult or elders having fun and coloring your stuff would work, nothing fancy.
Yellow Pages style sites are listing a lot of "residential care homes for seniors" where your "influencers" (caregivers) are working plus part of your potential demographic is already there, and they tend to buy a lot, for everyone, you can make some kind of subscription deals for them. Colleges and schools are also in all yellow page style listings and sites, there is software (bot) that can scrape all that for you, with phones, sites, emails to reach them.

my wifes loves coloring stuff, crosswords,

You should try leveraging social media platforms, engaging with coloring book communities, offering promotional discounts or giveaways, and seeking reviews or collaborations with influencers or bloggers within the same niche
