The search function did not bring something up, hope there's no thread for it yet.

I ask you for ideas about monetizing niche specific image-collections, before you laugh think again, everywhere are "ebooks" for sale, I bet people pay for picture-bundles also. On e Bay they pay hard cash for geo- & nichetargeted original photographs, but I think of downloadable instant cash possibilities.

I found some ideas on BHW like "shareapic net", which pay "$0.22 per 1000 pic views", which is One possibility.
Adding an affiliate-link to each free pic-url and monetize like this another one.
Or a membersite, but it has to be dynamic, means steady work.
Selling the lot by download via a sales portal?

The idea behind it is that image-data is easy and quick to collect, in almost every niche, the bigger the size or quality the better. Buyers can print them up from a certain size; they pay for single big and even small format "prints" online or offline, so the buy all the time.

And those files are far not as big as video but something different than a dry eBook, so it would attract a different type of buyer. To set an niche-specific offer up somewhere, drive some PPC traffic to it, and forget it, set the next up, like a niche eBook or mini site, that would add up.

    Anybody knowledge about this field?

There's at least one thread on BHW about monetizing via Big G image search. I forget who wrote it but I remember he used an image of Mister Bean as an example.

I think the search box on the home page is still broken, but open any thread and search from there for related topics. The truth is out there.

Here's a thread HaRRo wrote that is interesting too, I found it via the search:

    Reading is fundamental.

Britepic is down most of the time, and:
"The way BritePic works is, you simply replace a direct link to an image with a JavaScript link from AdBrite.....The Bad: Your images will load much, much slower."

The Thread of Harro is very good, for "certain" picture hunters, yes; I had more in mind not to send them to other sites, but to ask frankly for paying directly, and to target niches like, for example "rare item Collectors" and make them directly pay for the pictures.

For example if some items are to expensive to get, buy in an auction etc, or to find at all, some would be happy to get a picture at least - HighResolution, bigFile, good-to-print etc. Not expensive to buy, but more bucks than just monetized via adsense.

    Got the "picture"?

yes. i got the picture. what niches are represented by your photos?

i have a solution for your need:
100% adsense revenue share (related to keywords that describe your photo(s)) and selling VIP or PRIVATE (2 levels of access) access to your albums on "special" site.

it is in a final phase of development but will be released in a week or two.
so this is a spare time for you to upload and describe your photos on that service.

contact me in PM with your instant messenger

    cheers!

Nothing new so far? Images are an untapped Niche I would say, I'm surprised that not much marketers think about this.

Think offline, how much money is spent for "pictures" in magazines, big/heavy expensive photo-books, Artprints, Posters, Collective Postcards, Porn Mags (online porn is ALL about the visible content)...etc pp.

Lot of people use the g00gle-Imagesearch to find sites, not text search anymore. Picturematerial is easy to gather, how about good ways to market?

If one publishes images using BritePic technology, can they still be picked up by Google Image Search?

Good idea, If you find the #1 searched for image on google, create an optimised site that has the image on it using BritePic, then surely you will get XXXX impressions and a lot of clicks.

The Google Image Search Algo is pretty sophisticated though (There is a Powerpoint Presentation from Early 2000's floating around with some trade secrets in it), but nothing us blackhatters cant pin down.
