Ideal Frequency posting on Fb page

I have a fb page which has more than 10k likes. I am confused about its frequency. The niche is about tips and tricks. One of my colleagues told me that if i reduce the frequency of posts then my page will become inactive, so i have to keep posting at least every hour.

Is it a myth or is it true about FaceBook??? Is posting frequently really matters to Talking of Fb page ?? What should be the ideal frequency of posting on fb page?? If i post 2-3 times a day, will it affect the talking of fb page??

If you have just 10k likes you don't need to post something new every hour. Just relax :)

yes it will affect PTA, the more posts you do the higher the PTA will become
 
well you can schedule posts on pages rather then posting every hour just post relevant content that keeps the fans sticked to your page.

I don't think you will find a catch-all answer to this question. The frequency depends on a lot of factors like who the audience is and how often they want to hear from you. I'm not sure what you mean by "inactive" but your frequency should also be driven by what your goals are.

For instance if by posting every hour you are receiving 1000 dollars in revenue every month, by decreasing that will it change your revenue earning potential? That is just an example. Think about it in terms of what you are trying to accomplish then ask yourself if changing things will be positive or negative.

My mean is if i will post only a 3-4 post daily then will my page is un-active ??
some people says if you are not posting regularly then you page will become un responsive.
 
I post 5-6 times a day, I have 17.000 fans and talking about is ~10.000 and it's growing, up to 1400 likes per photos I share and few of them have ~ 500 shares.. I thing it's pretty much for that number of fans..
 
I have a page with around 100k Likes and is also on a similar theme. I do 3 posts a day on Monday, Wed and Friday. I do one post of something entertaining and funny - Second one tech related on new products etc- and finally the third is the tips and tricks. The thing I notice is that the funny always wins with likes and shares, but I still accomplish my goal of making it valuable for everyone.

Good luck with FaceBook it is an odd beast and conversions are crazy small.
