Idea for unlimited back links?

Ok, so this is my first actual new thread I've posted on here, so bare with me. I have a whitehat site that has about 1,500 back links when I just checked it, and I've been researching getting back links for some new adsense sites like crazy because I'm looking to make some more sites to monetize. Here's the thing.

The site that I have is listed between 1-3, it varies, on google and it gets a few thousand unique hits per day. I have adsense on it but its not really a site pushes a lot of traffic to click on links, because its an informational website about a musician. I'm guessing people don't usually click links to leave there because its pretty much already the best page to go to. 2nd of all there really are no high paying keywords relevant to this site so I'm lucky if I make a dollar or two a day off of about 8-15 clicks from adsense. I've spent some time optimizing the position blah blah blah for a few years and this is about the best I can get out of it.
Here's my idea... the site is built in php, so everything listed on the parent index page in the menu, gets listed on every page you click on, because it always displays, if that makes any sense. Right now I have about 45 pages, and I recently put a link to another site up on the side in the index nav and it immediately gained those 45 back links when I checked. So I'm guessing if I put more links on the side I can push the number of back links up as far as I want by creating more php pages that are off of that main index file. I really wish I could put this more clearly, I'm usually a lot better with words. So what I'm thinking is, say I just start adding more random pages such as
index2.php?id=newpage1.php
index2.php?id=newpage2.php
index2.php?id=newpage3.php
etc etc,
I can push that many more backlinks off of that main index page because they still count towards each separate page, home.php, links.php, downloads.php etc. I won't actually post links to those pages off of the site nav as so not to turn this decent whitehat page into some spammy looking thing, but I'm guessing the search engines will still crawl these pages on my server and count them as backlinks rather quickly. And also, since these links won't be relevant, I can put them hidden away at the bottom and shrink the text size etc. Is this a good idea? Feel free to borrow this idea or tell me I'm an idiot because its already been done, but I've searched around here for quite some time and never found it.

I wouldn't really say it was a shit idea but it isn't exactly revolutionary. It is similar to the search query spam that you see on A LOT of warez sites for gaining more internal backlinks. It can work if done well but can work against you by weakening the current links you have internally as well as turning visitors off by looking spammy.

I wouldn't want to try this on a white hat site or one that was bringing in a good amount of cash to be honest, but who knows you can always give it a go on a less important site, it could easily work if it is done correctly.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I was pretty sure someone had thought of this before but I wanted to ask cause I've been researching and implementing like crazy for what seems like forever now. As for the idea, I'm considering the best ways to do it so it doesn't look spammy, perhaps doing the old coloring the backlinks the same as the background etc since the site is already pretty well established. Also, the new pages that would be created for the sake of multiple backlinks wouldn't be in the navigation menu anyways, just on the server side so it can be found. But then again I guess I could just make a bunch of random pages with links on them, save them with a bunch of different file names and let google crawl that? That way it wouldn't even be visible on the index nav bar and really wouldn't be known to visitors aside from if they search for a site map. I need to give the hamster in my head a rest eventually...

It is good that you are thinking of ways to increase your internal backlinks but I would imagine it would but much easier and fool proof to go get some quality content and maybe get it re-written otherwise those spam pages will be next to worthless. Also text color the same as background is a pretty big nono.

Major SEs can check when text is the same color as background and is generally a bad idea as someone will see it and report you for it. I would say go get some easy external backlinks. You can get lots of backlinks easily in many ways such as directory submissions, blog comments, social bookmarking sites, social media sites like youtube and dailymotion. There are many more ways to get great backlinks like article submissions and such.

Just get some of these, dir and blog spam is easy and quick if you have the right tools. Have a read around before putting your ideas to practice as they could harm you without sufficient reward.

Thanks for the info. I've been reading around a lot here in the past few months. i've got that PRstorm, but with all the mixed stuff I've read about it, I don't feel I completely have a handle on what exactly to do and not to do to try it. I've got a few other things as well but found blog and guestbook comments seem to work best as long as its a high ranking site it will get crawled and backlinked rather quickly. I'm new to the blackhat world, literally, but I'm getting somehwat of an understanding of it. My whitehat site I've had since 04 and I'm amazed at how quickly a site that fills a whole in a niche gets indexed and ranked when it has quality content. I just wish I knew of more sites like that to build but its really hard to find a hole in the internet anymore to fill. I've got a few ideas up my sleeve but I'd really like to replicate the same success but with a higher paying keyword page.

Yeah I was in the same boat as yourself, I have a pretty good niche site that has transformed into quite the authority in what WAS a fairly uncompetitive niche. I was hoping to carry this success through to other sites but it just hasn't happened for me, mainly due to the fact I went with a day job and spend my spare time doing some programming and enjoying myself.

If you want to get a new site indexed and ranking pretty well at the same time as gaining some traffic you can follow this little plan:
1) Publish your site.
2) Download a directory submitter and submit as many as you can in a day or so (I use digixmas, it charges $15 per site you want to submit but you can do about 1k submissions in a day). This will get instant links, a bit of traffic and recurring links as directory owners are notoriously bad at moderating submissions.
3) Next day or two after get bookmarking demon, autopligg desktop or seNuke (all available here) and get to work on your social bookmarking submissions(BMD is easiest and quickest to use, less bugs). This is great for hundreds to thousands of instant links and can result in some good traffic if you get your titles and descriptions right.
4) Give it a couple more days to a week and then get your blog comment on. I use my own Free Blog Commenting tool for finding high PR relevant blogs, you could also use comment kahuna. These are great for ranking higher. Remember to always leave a quality keyword relevant comment so the comment is accepted and you don't waste your time.
5) After you have spent a couple of days on and off blog commenting I would think about doing some article submissions, I know these take aaaaggggggeeeess but they really do count as great backlinks and will drive some very targetted traffic to your site.

After this I would look into using some of the more unorthodox tools out there like PRStorm (have a read around before using it though) and some of the other options in SENuke (if you can get it to work properly). Basically have a look round and find some places to drop a link, you will be surprised at how many places there are to do this.

Basically if you only do the things in the list above you will begin to rank higher than most of your competition for many keywords. Oh I forgot to mention when you get to the 3rd part in that list make sure you are not just bookmarking the home page but also the inner pages, this is a big must and will result in lots of SE traffic.

Why don't you monetize in a different way. If your site has such good content and they find all they want there, info wise, why don't you offer something different to adsense. Dropship posters of the musician, offer music sheets, tshirts etc etc. all dropshipped so you have no issues with copyright and having to handle the goods yourself. Offer the instrument the musician plays !
There are more ways to monetize than the paltry little that adsense pays these days.

Focus on external links, not so much internal ones. Your time and efforts would be better spent.
