    Hey there,

I've got the problem, that I can't rank in my country (US Ranking #2!)..
My idea is to buy a domain from my country and make a 301 to my main domain (.info).

The problem is that the .de domains have to be clear in the whois, so a whois anonymizer isn't allowed..

But at first: would that push my ranking in my country (nass backlinking my .de domain for sure)

If you want to want better in .de get some links from .de sites. All your links are probably from .coms, .nets, .infos and .orgs, so you are ranking well in the US. But to rank in .de, some .de links will help.

Your idea might work a little....but I doubt it would help that much...I guess you could try and see what happens. If you are only worried about German traffic and not US traffic, you could log into Google Web Master tools and specify the region that your site relates to. That works.
