My first post on BHW and I hope it's worthy. This is really simple and I thought about it last night whilst chatting to my buddy over Skype. I received a wrong number call whilst we were talking and he mentioned about 10 people had done the same thing to him over the last week asking to book flights. We agreed his SkypeOut number was probably similar to some airline or travel agency.

So how can this be monetized? Simple!

    1. Go and find a list of popular insurance companies (or whatever suites your network offers) in the US and buy SkypeOut numbers that are similar to them (maybe one or two digits different). Skype sells a ton of numbers so this shouldn't be TOO hard to do.

    2. Make up some professional sounding voice mail and re-direct people to your website which includes your network offer.

    3. Wait for the calls (and hopefully conversions) to come in.

This is 100% automated because it?s the people that call you. And it costs what to setup? 20 bucks?

For example if you picked a travel agent then say something like "sorry but there are no agents currently available to answer your call. The current wait time is 20 minutes. Did you know we are running an exclusive 30% off coupon online at our site travelagencynamehereDOTcom for the next 24 hours."

Maybe this would work for you, maybe not. IMO it's quite a good out the box idea.

And thanks to all the BHW members for making this such a great forum.
