I have a streaming website which had a big drop in organic traffic.
Basically on January 17th my website got hit pretty bad overnight. IDK if it was because of Google Update or DMCA . I get lots of dmca notices ( google search console) on my movie links but no other 'message' came to me about this traffic drop.

I would like to ask for your opinion, what to do in this case? Should i create a subdomain www1.mysite.com? because i saw a lot of movie streaming websites ranking pretty good with this kind of tactic. Should i leave my website as it is and just wait? Or just get another domain and redirect my old domain to the new one?

I'd like to hear different thoughts and maybe we can get something out of it.

Anyone?

Yup it's time for a new domain name. In the future make sure you host your sites offshore, if you aren't already.

Read this journey thread by @RazeByte also, it's gold.

He has a great section about DMCA laws on these type of sites.

Things are probably not going to improve so I suggest you just get a new dom and redirect
I already am using offshore hosting. I am just worried about seo now.
Do you think that redirecting to new domain won't pass the penalty from google?Google is getting really smart these days.
