i wish google never bought youtube. there's talks that youtube now wants to be like hulu

it's not about how much money the entertainment industry has lost.....it's about controlling the power the internet has...

years ago, you could find all kinds of tv shows and content on youtube.... then google came over, stripped the content that users uploaded. Man, there were some really GOOD rare videos from old tv shows that I used to watch....now gone...no where to be seen cuz the entertainment industry likes to play god.

I stopped coming to YouTube shortly after Google acquired it.. I found mostly it's retarded kids uploading fake videos or their own little custom rick rolls they made to be funny.

I did enjoy the days where you could just upload "Susan Does A Sexy Strip Tease" video and it'd be a huge hit lol.. those were the days of YouTube. With all great and easy methods comes saturation. The work around methods for getting around this saturation usually make the method much harder than it originally was that you just have to move onto something else.

Aside from exploiting YouTube, it used to be a good place for good quality info.. now it's just filled with people's make money videos for GDI or SpiderMarketing garbage or it's just random rick rolls that 10 year olds make.

What made youtube is all of the user content and the free expression on the place.
They're basically stabbing the users in the back that made them into a brand in the first.

There is alot of diffirent elements at work here, but essentially what youtube is doing is going to cause a mass exodus away from it. No one wants to watch 'married with children' or 'party of five' or all of that old played out content.

People want new releases, and people go to movie forums etc. for that. They go to youtube because its a video oriented social network. No one needs youtube, and if youtube sticks to this model, there will be a mass exodus to other video communities.
