Rights are illusory. We have an idea of what rights exist, but that idea doesn't have any tangible existence.

In other words, if you say to someone "you have resale rights" they have resale rights. You should probably set down in some detail what exactly that means. Basically they're paying extra for you to approve something you wouldn't otherwise approve.

If you don't sell any, the only person with resale rights is you. However many you choose to sell will reduce the value of those rights, but the ultimate limitation is entirely up to you.

When you sell unrestricted resale rights - especially master resale rights, which means the people who buy those rights can turn around and sell them to other people too - somebody with no imagination or skill will get hold of it and try to sell it for $1 or something. Then a bunch of other people panic and mark it down to $1, and then nobody can sell it for more than $1.

The implied limitation on resale rights varies between 10 and 500 when you ask people who do it frequently. I personally like to see it under 100 when I buy rights, because if anyone and everyone can have resale rights, the fair market price drops.

If you sold someone master resale rights, it would mean that the buyer and only the buyer can sell the product.

Selling someone regular resale rights says that they are allowed to sell the item, but that you (the owner) are allowed to sell it to other people as often as you like.

you can also sell them your ebook and all rights included, meaning you forfeit the right to sell the product in the future, and they can do whatever they like with it.

check out some of the terms on other ebooks out right now. A lot of them have many more terms included that they add in themselves. I think thats what they all do lol. Call it whatever you want, just make sure your terms are clearly visible to the buyer.

From the website shown below, you can create a resale rights text file to include with your MRR or PLR product:

    Code:

    Hope that helps :)
