Well i have a VPS with Scrapebox, Tweetattacks, Tweetattacks AC, Senuke and Ubot Studio. I spend a lot of time in college so i want to run my VPS directly from my phone so i can set my settings between classes.

I want tu buy a moto droid X or an iPhone 4, my main goal is to manipulate my VPS.

I read trough the internet that i can do that (for example, this blog post explain how to run scrapebox from iPhone 4: tinyurl[dot]com[slash]4xhota5)

    B
ut i really don't know what phone is better to run a VPS, i know i can hack both phones to get apps for free but i really don't care about that, so let's see, what are your experiences running a VPS from those phones, if any? or what do you think? any comments?

Go with the one with the bigger screen... Droid X. I have an iphone and I use logmein (I downloaded for free through installous) and log onto my home computer. From my home computer I use remote desktop connection to connect to the VPS. I like that a lot because sometimes there's certain things I need to access on my home computer as well. Lag is not bad at all but with a bigger screen it'd probably be a lot nicer.

Yeah iclosem, you are right, a bigger screen will get the job done faster. I know that in my college they offer free wifi internet but not for mobile devices but i am sure that with some blackhat gifts to the guy who makes the connections it can be done :D so i think that the speed won't be a problem (i hope so).
Anyway, i do not know if all the apps i use in my vps run correctly in a moto droid x or they can run better in an iphone, i really do not want to make a bad investment since i can buy a laptop with that money, but i have to replace my phone so i want to kill two birds in one shot.

iphone is too small, I heard it works best with iPad, or get the android equivalent of a touch screen that is 10" or above, do remember that a small resolution screen will affect the scrapebox interface to have a scroll bar on its sides

    itap rdp works a treat

It's a bit slow on an iphone 3 but works a treat on a 4 and the ipad I got a couple of days ago. I can run my whole network from it. Definitely easier with the bigger screen.

Haven't got any droid devices so can't comment on them, but it works absolutely seemlessly on an ipad with even a poor 3g connection let alone wifi.

    Apple sucks.. Get Android!

    I can recommend http://www.toremote.com/

It supports RDP (World's first NON-MS RDP client which supports TLS(SSL) encryption (RDP over SSL). Works fine for me. :)

sounds like you need some scheduling or automated tasks... ideally you dont want to change things that often ...at least not yourself manually

Get splash top. Best remote desktop client by far (and I've tried em all). You can even stream 30 fps video (as long as you're on the same wifi network)! No other app can do that.
