Hi i am thinking to create new website and like everyone i want to rank it faster..

I have two option like every one buy new domain and start adding more content. and start creating links slowly slowly.. (Its gonna take some month to rank)

Another option i was reading in BHW regarding this. If i buy old expired domain with good backlinks and than i create website on it.. do you think it will help me to rank faster? and how do i get to know that domain never had google penalty? And for example if i found any good domain with nice backlinks but now i want to create website on different niche than what will be happen it will be good idea or should i avoid doing that?

Expired domains with high DR. Check it with ahrefs. Probably with no or very less backlinks.

Use expired domains to rank faster and new domains to rank for longer periods of time.

Lol wtf, don't use expireddomains for long term projects?

You can use either, expireddomain if you can find one which pretty much mirrors the site you want to build imo.

Expired domains and long term rankings don't go well. Google is not stupid, it will notice the change in the registrar records (last updated on the day you bought that expired domain). If you rely solely on the links that came with your expired domain, at some point, usually after 1 month or two, all rankings will drop. However, if you do link building like for a normal new domain, you can maintain those rankings for longer.

In other words, if you build links (like you would with any site) you can maintain a higher position with your expired domain?

I think what cursedbrain is saying is that the back links built before you picked up the expired domain will lose their effect over time. So whilst you may rank quickly to start with, you have to build new links quickly to maintain the serp.

Yes but that is like any site you build. Expired or not. If you don't keep building links, you lose ranks.

It doesn't matter if you built them, or if you are using an expired domains. The exact same principles apply.

If this is true why people are running after PBN. Rank drops when a website removes link from their page when they realize the website they linked no more same and this happens rarely

Links don't lose their effect over time, in fact quite the opposite, they become stronger. Links only lose their effects when they are removed. Otherwise PBN-s wouldn't work and we would have to build links continuously to our website pages' to keep our rankings. After you rank, the only reason you build more links is if the previous ones get deleted, which they shouldn't if you built HQ links, or if more competitors enter page 1 and outrank you with more/better links.

It's not clear what you're asking. You mean an expired domain that has never been crawled/indexed by Google? That would be kind of pointless.

I'd use SEMRush to see, if there were any ranking dips.

This is so not true. :)

    ^^ This is correct.

And for OP. If you are new to SEO and you are already starting to work on site with intention to "rank fast", I would bet a few hundred bucks that you will screw the site.

I think you should focus more on finding a good domain that covers what your site is about and your chosen niche.
