    Hi there,

    I have a video game channel which gives walkthroughs of different N64 games. I a not sure how to monetise this. I have tried adsense but doesn't make me nearly enough money... 0.1% CTR :(

    Does anybody have any ideas by which I could monetise this?

    I run a gaming niche and yeah they dont like to click ads much at all. What I have just started to do is replace one of the adsense ads with clickburn products, got 5 clicks in a few hours which would have been very little money from adsense

    Advertise e-books that help you unlock the nintendo wii or ds see how it turns out after a month

    make a mailing list

    make them leave mail adress - and then they can download your walkthrough or whatever you offer them (do use double opt in so they dont leave garbage mails)

    then you simply send some offers, CPA, products etc....

    Considering your working with N64 which is pretty old now, you need to hit them with Email/ZIP submits for the latest and greatest gaming/tech items.

    YouTube->Lander->List->Email Submits

    It was a channel started before I got into IM. I was thinking that a lot of the N64 games have been released on Nintendo DS so the walkthroughs are still valid!

    Nah tried CPA email submits for iPods and nealry anything tech related and have never made more than a few of bucks a day. :(

    Think I might just try and sell the channel to other gamer channels

    There was a guy around the other day with a NDS CB product filled with downloads etc that may work...

    Not sure what a channel is worth to sell, but if you can't make the views convert then the likelyhood is that other people in the same niche can't either and will not page well for it.

    Not too many people play n64 still ya? But maybe a landing page with a *subscribe for our super awesome secret tricks and exclusive* and then just forward an email to them every month or so with a cpa.

    Ill tell you what NDS means if you tell me what a content locker is :p

    No seriously I googled the term (new to IM) and couldn't get an explanation.

    NDS = Nintendo DS

    A content locker basically "locks" the content. Heh, easy enough, right? :)

    ...seriously though. For example, let's say you have a free movie site and your visitors wanna see a free movie. They click on a link to the movie page and it loads, but then a box pops up asking them to complete an offer to gain access to the page. They complete an offer, lock disappears, and they can see the movie (or get redirected to nowhere)...and you make $$$.

    You can try PPV (pop under ads) so you at least get revenue off every visitor. If doesn't pay much but it's better than nothing.

    I use infinityads personally. They are ok, but sometimes viruses slip through their network, which could be a tad bit harmful to rankings.

    Personally I use it on my blogspot blogs and I naven't have an issue to date.
