I have a really, really tough niche I'm trying to get ranked for, you can take a quick read below:

I want to know on average, what should the typical seo worker be capable of doing within an hour if they were trying to rank a site with the google penguin update? Like as far as backlinks, blog post, squido pages, link wheels, etc, forum post?

I just want to make sure because I've been scammed before, and want to make sure I pay for the right results. Thanks.

TooCoo do you mind PM'ing me so I can tell you a little bit about it? The moderator system will not let me post since I have prices in it. I am not trying to sell you but giving you a little estimate.

You know what they say - easy things don't come cheap.
Be wary of quick results for very little money and make sure and ask to see proven results from them.

    Toocoo82,

The tasks you mention (i.e. building backlinks, writing blog posts, forum posting, etc) may vary depending on what you want people to do. In general, building backlinks for example is very tedious and you may be able to make anywhere from a dozen to two dozen in a work day. How detailed and long the blog posts are will also affect time. I would suggest not focusing on how long it takes an SEO company to perform any specific tasks and focus more on their reputation. Look for reviews or well established companies that have clients you could call on for references.

As mentioned by AustinWeaver, be wary of those promising lightening fast results for next to nothing. Good SEO is boring and tedious and it will also cost you a lot of money if you want a professional's eyes on things for a long period of time.

Here are a couple of reputable SEO companies,

    Hope that helps you,
