    Hi

There is a 2 word domain that i have been after that will expire mid january. it was registered in 1999. as of right now, it's not been renewed. the 2 word phrase is very competitive. imagine something like duiattorney.com or buyviagra.com

assuming that the current owner will not renew, what is the best way I could grab this domain? I really dont know much about domain registering. Do I have to hire a broker? is there an auction procedure that i have to go through?

Getting the domain you saw is relatively easy, you just need to follow back to the registrar at the right moment,
but evaluating that the domain has "Real" value is more complex.

Has it been de-indexed by Google ?
Is the PR fake or real ?
What Alexa Ranking does it have?
How many pages has Google indexed?
How many backlinks does it have?
    Is it listed in Dmoz?
What Moz Ranking does it have?
    What "authority" does it have?
What Alexa Ranking does it have?

Most guys don't do enough research because it takes so long to check each potential domain thoroughly.

I have some custom software in development.

PM me if you would like a Beta test

Why the hell it's worthless! Once it's expired, any one can register and submit it for google index.

But the poor backlink portfolio that caused the deindex would still be there.

If it doesn't show up in Google and you plan on SEO'ing it, don't buy it.
