I want to create a news portal, but there is a huge competition around

Hi there,

This is just an idea, but have a niche in my mind which has prospects in my country. I know, i can make an attractive web, but I really dont know how to
enter such a market. Any thoughts?

You should do a thorough analysis of the competition and evaluate if possible to overcome it in some way. If so, it focuses heavily on SEO, perhaps considering buying some PBNs. All the material you need is in the SEO section.

I manage 2 news websites.

1) Approx 10 million pageviews per month.

2) Approx 6 million pageviews per month.

PBN is Private Blog Network.
Besides that, I would suggest that you look for an aged expired domain that’s hasn’t dropped yet and has backlinks still live. There are plenty of these news / daily / post kind of domains available for grabs on expired domains site. Check the DR and DA of these domains and see what kind backlinks structure they have: DF / NF links and the DR and DA of THOSE back linking domains. If you see that there are about 10 domains at least figuring in the DR 70+ status, go for it and set up your site on it. Focus on Content Curation rather than simply auto feeding / posting of content and spinning them. NEWS SITES ON WHICH YOU ACTIVELY SPEND TOME ON CURATION ARE THE BEST RANKING SITES. That’s what the journalists do: PICK A NEWS ITEM AND EXPAND IT WITH THEIR CURATION ABILITY.

PBN's are basically a network of websites that are run by a single person or business.

They can link your money site from their PBN sites to give you authority and juice to rank better

1) are the two 2 news sites which you manage, google news approved?
2) are these niche specific news sites OR general news sites or country specific niche specific sites. The idea is to find out which route to take while deciding the actual site and its domain
3) do u curate the content or all the news posts are 100pc manually written or are they automated posts via a plugin ( auto blogging )

I have just started 3 news sites, all google news approved.

But the organic traffic on ahrefs is still quite low.
