I'm selling some equipment along with info and dvd's on how to start a biz. Is $800 way too much to charge for a click bank product. Keep in mind it come with equipment worth $600-$700.

i have read that some people actually increased sales with higher prices. It is probably applicable only to a few niches though. The kind where higher price is associated with better quality...

As far as I know clickbank won't allow you to sell just dvd's and equipment. Your main seller needs to be a digital product, and equipment and dvd's can only act as supplemental products for your main seller.

As far as setting the price to 600 bucks I don't think you can do that either. I beleive clickbank has a limit for how much you can charge your product and I don't think the limit is nearly that high (I'm not sure you might want to check this out).

With a product like yours you are probably better off going with a different affiliate network. The affiliates at clicbank specialize in selling digital media (not $600+ equipment).

I do not see how you can get good advice about the pricing without providing much more info.

Pricing is to be taken seriously and it could be the difference between profitability and loss.

Many diff. things should be considered...marketplace,"hungry market" and do they have $$$, competing products, value, delivery, etc etc

Here is the guideline for Clickbank

Although ClickBank allows a huge variety of products, there are a few basic criteria that all products need to meet. They are:
    Original

    • All products must be original or appropriately licensed, and cannot infringe on the intellectual property of others.
    Digitally Delivered

    • All products must be delivered to customers digitally, via web pages, downloadable files, or email within 24 hours of purchase. Immediate delivery is preferred. You must inform the customer at the time of purchase when they should expect product delivery.
    Supplemental Material (Optional)

    • You may also offer shipped delivery of printed media (for example books, CDs, and DVDs) to customers, provided that it is clearly complimentary and not essential to the operation of the original digitally downloaded product.

Plus you have to be careful about the cost of returns! A few returns or shipping issues can seriously impact your overall profitability when you have a cost of goods that high.

90% of businesses in general fail. In my opinion, 99% of online businesses fail.

if you are unknown in the IM niche there will be no one who will buy your product .
Good JV's partners with huge lists can make you your money .
Where to find them is another story .
or what you will need is someone to point you as his student .
quick exemple is Ruseel Brunson when he launched the 12 months millionnaire . He sponsered the guy. If the guy did say he became a millionnaire in 12 months no one will beleive him but since a guru said it then people are sold.
So your best approach is to get hold of a well known guru and offer him some nice percentage from your sale and he will sponsor you :)
    just my 2 cents
