I wanted to purchase a expired domain but i need some feedback/advice before doing so.. what would be beneficial a high PR or no PR at all but a high DA or a medicore PR but a slightly low DA?

I still can't find a definitive answer. I know both play a factor on the over domain's stats but what is better when taking the overall domain's stats into account. A better PR or a better DA? especially when your purchasing a expired domain?

Each metrics can be manipulated. However, its hard to manipulate all metrics. So I would suggest you look at the following

1. Citation Flow - CF
2. Ratio of TF/CF - should be between 0.8 to 1.2
3. Page Rank
4. Domain Authority
5. Total number of Subnets
6. SimilarWeb Rank

Thanks for the insight. I have done more research on it and learned more about DA and Citation flow and what a good ratio would be for a good domain. Thanks for your answer though, backs up the knowledge i have.

I would say high DA overall. Usually if a site on moz has high DA but no PA two things can be happening:

1) Sometimes the algorithm does mess up, maybe it will give it high DA based on the length or age of the domain when the domain really doesn't have any seo value.

2) There is a subdomain with all of the PA and you are only seeing the DA because you are looking for the wrong sub domain (example if you look www. and sites without www. you will find two very different metrics and results)

I can easily get 30 and 40 on a domain I start from scratch, I try not to put too much info and I write as if I'm having a conversation with someone, pretty serial killer, I know. The format I use is 1000 words total over the course of 3 posts and answer what the user is looking for via keyword search, and I blog network maximum 10 posts a day for a month, and ta da it's there. I'm starting to outsource my seo, and look for the best contender. But generally, if you do what I did, I'm sure you can get the same results as me.

I'll take that into consideration. Content is king. i should write more content on my pages as of right now i probably have around 300-500 words.

I use domcop.com to find my domains. It's free fast and like me you can find great domains for cheap

NICE! thanks for the reference. I use another source but haven't heard of this one. Thanks man

Something else I'd recommend is to throw on a privacy policy, and in your contact me page, put a google map embed of your location, just put the postal code and state, and it'll throw an ambiguous arrow. Google likes that for some reason, it makes your site look like a legit office. If you have a PO Box address, throw it on there.

Anything else from experience? Lol i'm implementing all of this as a precaution to help me boost up some stats. I'll give it a try on one my sites that I'm doing A/B testing on for SEO

One way I get high conversions is I make what I'm preselling to sound like it's easy, "like all you got to do is listen to this and follow the schedule, you just have to make an effort to change who you are, and this is how you do it" But I don't overstretch what I'm selling, so it doesn't get gimmicky.

Try and put a photo of yourself on a widget and talk a bit about why you made the site, how you want people to learn from your mistakes. Above the fold (people don't need to scroll down because it's on the left or right side of the site.)

I personally avoid, "buy it now for xxx", I just put like, for further strategies about weight loss click here, the landing page will sell it for you, you just need to focus on getting it cookied so you get the commission.

For keywords, I use keyword revealer, it's free, and look for keywords that are under 12 competition value.

That's all I can think of.

sweet, those are good ideas you have. i appreciate the feedback. i started changing my sites layout and rewriting some content. As i read it, it needed more persuading without being to persuasive, if that makes sense. My niche isn't cookie based it would be better if it was ha i would be banking.

i also purchased domain with a good DA and PA . I created sub domains and pointed them to my 'money' site and updated the domains home page to have relevant content. I'll see within the next couple of weeks what the stats are. Hope they are good, since this is my first time using this method.

DA is more easy to manipulate. Just order xrumer blast worth $5 and you will get a very decent DA/
