What I am understanding from your post is that you have just started with Wordpress in order to be able to sell the eBook. Please correct me if I am wrong.

If that is the case, then in my opinion Wordpress can be a challenging factor for a newbie to be able to setup the ecommerce functionality, managing payments, security, etc. I mean this is very easy for Wordpress experts like us, but for a newbie it can be a very time consuming. There will be a steep learning curve for you. It can distract you from your core business of selling the eBook.

So why don't you consider other platforms like Wix and Shopify to setup a shop for digital eBook They have all the things already set up for you in place. Security, payment gateway, catalogue, etc. everything is already present there. All you need to do is to configure the settings as per your need and you are ready to go.

This way you will get more time to promote your eBook (which is what you should ideally focus on) and less headache managing the security, payments processing, plugins, themes, errors, etc.

This is my advice to you.
