    Hey Everyone,

I was doing research one of these days when I found out some interesting keywords in spanish. I checked the competition on Traffic Travis and the main keywords showed up as Easy and Relatively Easy (on both g00gle.com and the local g00gle country site). I did some research and ultimately selected an "all inclusive; 3 tier" BST service with a solid track record that was also recommended by one of the more active SEO BST buyers in BHW to rank my unexisting website.

Afterwards I got a brand new country tld (non-emd but with the main keyword in the domain name), built a wordpress site, created a couple of short seo'd articles (250-300 words with keyword density of around 1% for the main keyword) and placed one on the home page and another one on a secondary page (which is the page I actually want to rank). I then made sure the rest of the on-page factors were good on the inner page and went ahead and purchased the most powerful package of that specific BST service for my secondary page. I gave the seller 2 main keywords and about half a dozen lsi keywords. And then did the only thing I could do at that point and waited.

(While I have a general understanding of SEO and how it works, I consider myself an SEO noob.)

Fast forward one month after I receive the report and here we are. My domain ranked on the first page in a matter of days for its 6 word emd keyword (this was before purchasing the SEO service) but when it comes to the main keyword (3 word term) it's barely scratching page 12 and it isn't ranking for any of the lsi or the second main keyword (none of which are found on the article I wrote, although I feel there is no excuse for getting absolutely no improvement on those terms even if this is the case). The niche I'm targeting is in the hospitality industry so half of the results on the first page are OTA's (such as expedia, tripadvisor, etc) and the other half are hotels. Only 4 of the results show backlinks to the ranking page on Traffic Travis (average backlink number of 40 with one exception at around 2500 backlinks) and only 3 of the sites actually have title, description and H1 tag targeted for the keyword. We got a couple PR0's, a couple PR1's, the rest is PR3 for the most part. Lowest PA of 13, highest PA of 51.

So I basically don't know what is going on. I was expecting to rank on the first page fairly quickly and probably end up in the top spots in a matter of weeks but nothing of the sort is going on right now. Another odd thing I noticed on Traffic Travis is that I checked my only first page ranking term and it doesn't show up any backlinks for it despite Ahrefs is reporting around 300.

So in general I'm rather baffled by this outcome and would really appreciate it if someone could offer some insight into why this is happening and how can I turn it around in order to get the rankings. The service I used is reporting great results from customers for medium and even competitive keywords and here I am trying to rank an easy keyword with no luck (guess how I feel). If any of you feel seeing a screenshot of the keyword competition from Traffic Travis could be useful let me know and I'll upload it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Based on the information you provided about the keyword and competitors. I guest this is hard competitive niche, hotel or travel related keyword, right ??? In the other hand, 2 x 300 words of content make your website look spammy with thin content.

It may be a hard competitive niche in general terms but I don't know about the particular keyword I'm targeting. To give you some more perspective, the domain currently on spot #11 for my main keyword is 2 years old, isn't an emd, has like 4 pages with only 2 of them having actual content (like 120 words per page) and shows 11 backlinks on Traffic Travis and 6 on Ahrefs
