no no, not on purpose of course! I mostly deal in affiliate sites that I myself build but I picked up a client who was using 1and1 as their hosting and domain name registrar. I immediatly changed hosting over to HostGator by changing the DNS of the domain, which ended up taking over 30 hours. Who would have known? I have never had to wait this long for the DNS to change. Anyway, I built the site for the client, then attempted to send him an email, which bounced back to me. I would have assumed the mail servers would have stayed the same but WRONG! I had to change the MX records in my HostGator cpanel and it seems to work now. Is this normal for me to have to change the MX records? Anyway, just a fair warning for you guys to be mindful of this. Good thing I got all the emails back online by the time they open tomorrow. Cheers!
