I have had the same AIM name for like 10 years and I have never got any spam on it....I posted my aim today on BHW and for the first time ever I got a spam message...this is what it says

    richardgfcdcqu:

    (1) Cru(s)h Mes(s)age sent to you. Read it at http://iamaballer847.aim-message.net

and when you click the link it goes to one of those "see who your crush is sites"

    anyone else had this happen????

While it could be BHW related there are a proliferation of bots/trojans that do that. Usually it's via trojan. I recommend scanning your system for viruses, spyware, etc. If it were from BHW the numbers would likely be much higher.

PS: That's also why I don't post my messenger. I also create fake emails when doing business deals so I can track any member who later sells my email address. Of course after my dealings I dump the address. It's so nice having many domains and servers and unlimted email account creation ability. I even create emails when I sign up for sites so I can track where the spam comes from. =)

I also have a host of accounts stocked up for nearly all messenger services so if one gets spammed I either block the spammer or switch accounts. Though the only AIM spam I have ever gotten is from friends whose computer had a trojan on it. Which I of course helped remove for them as I'm good w/ computers.
