I was using reddit lightly to promote my wesbite, which is a "funny pictures" type of site. I was posting 1-2 posts a day for maybe 5 days in a row, then only one every few days. Posting in the funny pictures and wtf subreddit sections. I was creating a new account for every post or every other post. I was not using proxies. Now, the last few times I've posted something, it shows it in my account but it does not show up on reddit. It's not found when I search for the exact post name either.

So, did they block my website, my IP, or both? What can I do to be able to post here again? I was getting great traffic for a while when the posts were actually making it live.

switch IPs and try with a fresh account. then you'll know if your domain is blacklisted.

You can post more then once in same section with same account and same ip, just verify your email.

The ip does get ghosted very quick, when you post too much. I've noticed that yesterday, and used free proxies from HMA,but will probably get private ones soon.

How were you promoting your site? Did you link to pictures HOSTED on the site? or were you watermarking the pictures with your domain?

I don't know how anyone gets anything on Reddit other than a comment to some post. I used a social bookmarking link to "share" - a genuine share, btw -and I get some screeching message about the title - well, he*l, the title was the page I was sharing - didn't know what to do and like your situation, the link showed up in my profile but nowhere else on reddit. As much as I'd like to use that site more, I'm just not getting it. And I hadn't done anything else on there or anything that would have triggered any warnings or anything.

Go figure. If you figure out what happened, please post, okay? Thanks!

That's because reddit sucks. I posted real links to real things and was voted down. Posted other real stuff from a trip I took and basically got blasted. You can see from what types of discussions go on in there. Its one of those everyone is better than you places.

It's true that Reddit identifies stuff as spam for perverted and unguessable reasons. If that happens, I ask a moderator nicely to allow the item. I don't see how you can be blocked if you use different accounts.

I use Reddit to post links to stuff I wrote myself. I always used the same account, which I don't think would be an option for posting as much as you did. There were complaints that I was a spammer, which were bullshit because the material didn't fail CopyScape and Reddit's rules say it's ?not strictly forbidden? to post links to your own stuff. Possibly these complaints all emanated from one user who stalked me. The account was unjustly banned. I was sent a private message telling me so and now I can't submit links or reply to comments. I've never heard of websites being banned, and after my account was banned I just set up a new one and used that with no problem, posting links to the same website as before.

I agree that voting on links given to Reddit does not always appear to be rational. The votes for comments are even worse.
