Ok, I set up a site awhile back and didn't promote it at all. It was designed specifically for CPA. Anyway it's only a few months old and only earned me about $27 so far.

I wake up this morning and it was almost up to $45 - overnight. I check all the stats and sure enough people are coming through and filling out surveys. But I can't find the referral link where they're coming from.

Now the account is up to $110 and there's no end in site. I tried a sneak move and emailed one of the people who joined and asked him how he found my site and he said Google!

    What's my problem then...

    1) How can I find how and where I'm coming up in Google?

    2) My CPA account ratio is 75% and my EPC $1.29 (87 clicks - 64 leads!!!) Even though I've done nothing wrong I'm sure my manger is going to be very suspicious, correct?

    3) Do I buy some junk traffic?

Please help, I wanted things to pick up but NOT like this...

    Thanks,

Thanks, but all that's showing me is their IP. Web stats are not helping much either, it says Google, but not search terms?

Sign up for a free account at a site like

    Code:
    http://getclicky.com
    or

    Code:
    http://www.statcounter.com/
Install the code in your site and check the stats for a couple of days. Both counters give you the search terms that people used in the SE's to land on your site.

I have Statcounter installed but it's not giving me any info regarding keywords.

Maybe because the site is too new?

A few month old isn't new to me :p

Try to message more people who completed the survey and ask them the same question. And yes, thats weird.

Add the code from Getclicky to see if this solves the riddle.

There's a Searches tab in the control-panel were it list all the search-queries.

Wow, this is way better than statcounter! I'm going to watch it for a while and see what I can find out.

The $$ earned today so far is $143.46, yesterday 0.

Check your latest visitor option from cpanel of hosting... You can find what keyword and which search engine are sending you traffic... Start making a list and soon you will find your all good keywords and their ranking in different search engines...

You can also save those reports so in case any one ask for traffic detail, you can show them... Awstats can also tell you which keyphrase people are using but it's little tough because they don't display referral...

I use statcounter. I noticed it has stopped giving the KW recently too. But you can look at the search wars and the list of how many times you were recieved a click through from a specific KW. Currently I am #3 Pg 1 for something I don't promote and only mention once. Wacky but I agree it is troubling. Enjoy the rush while it last!

If you are getting natural traffic, why are you getting worried. This is something that you should be happy about. Use one of the tools suggested here to find out where you traffic is coming from and show them to your affiliate manager.

There won't be anything he can do if your site is organically pulling people in from Google, regardless of how sudden it may be.
