i get infraction from BHW admin 1/3,
is there any other here have infraction?
how can you tell if you have an infraction?
@ M.A.D. I am over educated... three years of Latin in High School.
your not alone!!!
I got this infraction when i was new at this forum ,and at that time i had not idea about rules and regulations,
Dont get alone mate.. I am here for your company...
This is what I use, Bribe-A-Mod@paypal.com
hahahahahah .........you disclose the secret .....
How do you know when you get an infraction???
I think in most cases you receive a PM from a mod or admin when you receive an infraction. Never got it here but on 1 or 2 other forums. That's what happened there.
Smoke comes out of the left side of your laptop... two infractions and it comes out of the right side... three or more and your laptop blows up.
i guess you get a pm kicking your ass
what if I am on a Desktop ?
But... I was hoping that a nice and sexy female moderator would cum knocking at my door...
I do not know if you are the only one ... at this time I can not access the website from my IP ...
for mods ....
is it possible that i can sell services at BHW with infraction?
this thread delivers lol
I have never got one but that's because I understand the rules of the forum...
@wowhaxor - Well, that's not a gaurantee either. Another well respected long time member that did think he understood the rules was banned recently for posting an affiliate link. So that goes to show you that even understanding the rules isn't always good enough.
I'm not bringing this up to discuss who it was or question the mods about it. I think we're a lot better off than we were a couple months ago when there weren't enough mods to maintain the forum. The posting of an affiliate link is the reason he was given for the ban, but I don't know if there might have been any other reasons as well. It's the only reason he told me he was given.
The particular member involved isn't overly upset over it, just a little confused because he thought he was in compliance with the rules. He's one of the people that tried to help keep some order in the forums until the admins were able to add on some new mods. At any rate he's just planning to wait till the ban is over, and consider it a lesson learned. It's a shame though, because an infraction or something for that particular member would have probably been good enough since it was just a misunderstanding. It's doubtful that he will want to share any more of his affililate programs or cpa programs on the forums again though. That's kind of a shame because that's part of what the affiliate programs section was supposed to be for.
I'm only bringing this up because it's important to know that there has apparently been some changes in what the tos says is an acceptable way to post affiliate links. If this member hadn't been banned over it, I would not have known about the change and would have risked a future ban myself for making a similar thread myself. I'm posting this reply so that other people will be aware not to make the same mistake themselves.
The way the relevant section of the TOS currently reads is:
By just reading section 4 of the tos it gives the impression that it's ok to post your affiliate referal link in the affilliate program section as long as you also include a non-referal link as well. Apparently that's no longer the case.
Since he had created only ONE thread in the Affiliate Programs section, gave a detailed info about the program, and included both the referal link and non-referal link in the post, it would seem that the post had been in compliance with section 4 of the tos. Since he recieved a ban over it then apparently this section is no longer valid. I would think that if they've changed the rules regarding affiliate links it might have been just as good to inform the poster about the change, and maybe even change the tos as well.
It's supposed to be acceptable for donors to include an affiliate link in their signature. And it's supposed to be acceptable for any member to post an affiliate link in the Affiliate Programs section of the forum as long as a non-referal link is provided along with the referal link.
He gave me the link to the thread which is still cached on google so I got to read it even though the thread was deleted. I don't think there is any question that it meets the guidelines in the tos. It even looks like a decent cpa program, he got accepted in 1 day and they have a lot of offers. I'm glad he let me know let me know this was why he got banned because I was planning to post some referal links in the affiliate section later on as well. Now that I know the tos section 4 is out of date, I won't be making the same mistake myself.
I've seen many members banned for not complying with those rules, but unfortunately I've also seen a few times when members were banned even when they seemed to be in compliance.
Because of this inconsistency I've decided to just keep all my affiliate programs to myself. This forum is too valuable for me to risk being banned over a misunderstanding about the rule. Unless it was just mistake on the mods part and section 4 is still valid, in which case I'd like to know that it really is ok to follow the guidelines in the tos regarding posting of affiliate links before I ever decide to share any of mine.
Me, too. :smashfrea
