I start my first website

Well this year I decided to start a new website, don't have much information about this field, so this is king of practicing what I know and keep learning SEO.
Well I got a domain name and hosting for a year.
WordPress installed
Theme installed
I set up my website
Added it to GSC and get indexed
Looked for easy keyword inside my niche. Using semruch.
Posted 4 articles tell now. ( handwriting content by myself.) it's a little bit hard, I'm not that person who like to write about something. Also English isn't my first language so I made a lot of mistakes while writing ( thanks to grammarly for the help )

Now this is some problem I face:

I added all my article to GSC to get indexed and they are indexed all of them except the last article just published yesterday.
And I don't know if I have to request indexation every time I publish a new post. Or what?

Other thing is is there any delay to go into The SERPs my 3 articles are not in the first 100 results on Google.

The pro people here.
Based on your experience how much will takes to start my domain gets some authority. I know that needs a lot of times.
And I have to work on backlinks and so on. But at the moment I think it's better to focus on content and build a habit that will help me writing without getting bored.

Yeah, focus on content for now, in two months you can start building backlinks

no! That's where sitemaps come into play. If you have a sitemap (which you should) you just go into your GSC > Sitemap section, and submit your sitemap in there, and then, whenever you publish a new post - and assuming that your sitemap is properly configured (which good SEO plugins will autoconfigure for you) - the SEO plugin pings google through the sitemap you submitted and then google visits your site to check the new post and it will index it (if it's a good post). And if it's a not good post you then force google to index it by using various white hat or black hat methods like using indexing services, or building links to that post, etc.

the delay exists and it depends on a lot of factors: the niche you're in, your domain name, your keywords, your competition, your content, site structure, etc.

In general, if your domain name is new and you're not targeting easy keywords (which, most of the time, means long tail keywords) you're not gonna rank fast. It is possible to rank fast with new domains if the niche is easy and the keywords you are targeting are underserved in the SERPs, but most newbies will not meet these requirements from the get-go. And since they don't meet the requirements they will think that there's delay (this delay is called sandbox, by the way). So yeah, there is delay if you don't do things right, but if you do them right - and especially if you're using a clean, expired (but not dropped) domain name - you might rank within days of putting the site online.

I don't consider myself a pro, but I do know a few things about SEO, and I can answer this particular question of yours because I know the answer.

So, the time that it takes for your domain to get authority depends on the number and quality of backlinks you have actually, it doesn't depend on the time. A domain's authority - when it comes to SEO metrics - is measured in DA / DR metrics that tools like Moz or Ahrefs have invented to replace Google's way of assessing authority, which is Page Rank and which Google have stopped making public almost 10 years ago because it's too powerful of an indicator and people have learned how to abuse it to gain easy rankings. And of the two 3rd party metrics that we have available today, Ahrefs' DR is more accurate than Moz's DA, but both these metrics rely upon the number and quality of backlinks that your site has, in order to establish your site's authority

So, to get good authority you need a lot of good backlinks, which are expensive as fuck and are inaccessible to the casual / newbie SEO, which is why - for most newbies - focusing on content instead of backlinks is the best way to gain authority because the more articles you rank, and the higher you rank them, the more organic traffic, and implicitly organic backlinks you will get, which in turn will boost your website's authority (because, remember that authority = backlinks!), which will then help you rank for even more keywords, thus gaining even more traffic and backlinks, and thus increasing your authority even more. It's a domino effect that starts with quality content and ends up with your site gaining organic backlinks (therefore authority), which is the way to go when you don't have a lot of money to invest into backlinks that matter.

So again, getting authority means getting backlinks, it has nothing to do with time. There are sites that gain obscene amounts of authority within 1-2 months (I am talking about millions of backlinks and 1000s of RDs), but those guys are usually filthy rich and can afford spending millions per year in spamdexing tools and services, or setting up large networks of PBNs, which are arguably the best black hat method of ranking sites.

This is what authority means when it comes to SEO. When it comes to Google, authority means being a popular site (amazon for example). That site, even though it has millions of backlinks, it's popular because it's one of the biggest sites in the world, so it doesn't need a ton of backlinks to be considered as authority by google and for google to rank it high in the SERPS. The Amazon brand is big enough (everyone and their dog knows what Amazon is) to carry a lot of authority because of the brand (company) itself. So, in this case authority has very little to do with backlinks, but everything to do with how obscenely rich and powerful you are as a company. And google loves such ultra-rich companies and usually favors in the SERPs (not always, but a good amount of time, and it depends on niche, as well. For example, Amazon will rank at the top of google for millions of ecom-related keywords, but almost never rank for informational keywords, so the niche and keyword intent do play a big role in ranking)

So, there is more than 1 way to get authority, and the definition of authority depends on which angle you approach this term from: from an SEO perspective, or from Google's perspective. And the way you can increase your site's authority depends on your choices (either focus on keyword research and content to gain backlinks and authority organically, or be filthy rich and buy links on strong sites and run PR promotions to grow your brand and brand awareness)

Correct! When you're new and / or can't afford investing in strong backlinks focusing on content (but also on keyword research, this is actually more important that creating quality content) is the way to go about doing SEO

Thanks tazarbm, I really appreciate the time you give writing those amazing and helpful words, I read your comment word by word, and I will back to it later and take notes and write them down.
The main key for anything is to understand how things are and always knowledge is the power.
I just want to tell you something which is really make me happy, I bought the hosting and the domain 20/12/2021
Less that a month till now, wrote only 4 articles this month ( English not my first language, even it's not my second language, hard to write in English words for me but I took the chalange)
Today I checked my semruch account and I find that my 2nd post are start entering the SERPs and it is ranked on 82's posting. Yes it's very far from the first page but it's my first time and my first article that ranked on the first 100 results on Google. ( I think I reserve that joy, it gives. Me the motivating to think on the future and motivate me to work more and write more).
The keyword I targeted having 480 search volume and 23 KD
Time to write and structure my website.

true! That's how governments and ultra-rich companies (amazon, google, microsoft, etc) are keeping us their slaves: they have knowledge about us. A LOT of it! So yeah, knowledge is power indeed, well said!

Also, need to focus more on the sitemap as well this will allow the crawler to crawl through all the pages it would be better to focus more on adding content and creating backlinks for your new website. Moreover, you can also focus more on the external linking of the web pages to a higher authority website to improve your website worth for the web pages and blog pages take time to get indexed for that you can improve more worth of the website by creating more backlinks.

If you have just published the article yesterday, no wonder it's not being indexed yet, you need to wait for a couple of weeks, and yes, usually it's the practice to submit a page for indexing every time you have some update on it.

As for your second question, I would suggest that you focus on creating quality content for now, and then when you achieve some satisfying ranking you can also start working on backlinks. It will take some time for your site to gain high domain authority, but if you keep up with the work it will happen for sure.

I don't know if still someone follow this thread, I start publishing article by the end of last December, after each article published I request Google to index it, I have some articles published 28 December and 8 January are not indexed yet, where two other articles published 29 December and 13 January are indexed, anyone of you can figure out the reasons why some articles not indexed and others does indexed?!

It depends on what you invest (time or money)

Buying back-links in natural article can get you ranking fast (link from related content)

You can also do outreach to smaller sites, suggest your content (1 in 75 might link back to you) for linking from their articles

You an try to push it viral on a site like reddit. I made a post about how to get reddit rank up, its on here on BHW ( see here ) . You can get great back-links free from reddit, if you get it to the top of the right communitie
