Iv been exploring Amazon Associates network and ranked a few product related sites to see how things go.

One of them is a simple HDMI cable site, I promote a HDMI cable worth about $20. It gets me around $5 a day in commission, which really isn't bad considering i ranked the site with very little effort.

Anyway i logged on to my Amazon stats this morning and a visitor that came to my HDMI cable website ended up buying 3 brand new iMac computers!

Each one was about $1700 and i got a commission of $200 yesterday.

I was really surprised because i only thought you get commission for the products you advertise and not everything the visitor ends up buying.

Looks like im gonna start focusing more on Amazon as oppose to CPA offers. I get around 20% conversion rate with all my Amazon sites.

Congrats man! And yeah, Amazon gives you commission for everything that the buyer buyers from them after following your aff. link (in a 24 hour window) and not just the product you are promoting. :)

On amazon it's a huge number of sales from cookies , peoples visit your links and maybe they buy something ... but most of the time they return directly to amazon and they buy shits ... all kind of shits lol ... :)

Congrats.. i've been meaning to ask Amazon affiliate sellers (so not addressed just to you OP), why don't you all just start selling your own products rather than be affiliates for Amazon?

Ok, its a lot more work, but its also a lot more cash. Its a legit enterprise where you can really build a business model and entry costs are under $200 if you dropship everything. I just don't know why you would do all the work for amazon to stuff their already oversized wallets (they don't pay corporate tax in teh UK like Google, Starbucks and those other bastards).

I have an ecommerce shop and I have about 1000 products on it, all dropshipping (4-5 SKUs in stock), I get about 4-5 orders a day and on a good day I can make up to 200 EUR net profit (no overheads)... order products from my supplier, package, ship.. thats all I do more than you guys.

Congrats. The largest purchase I've had was a high end pair of sunglasses. I'm waiting for the day that I start having people doing all their shopping through my links, would be nice. Most purchases in one day was 14 though, that was nice. I'm still exploring amazon. It's pretty fun making the sites. I will tell you one thing, my favorite part of affiliating with them is seeing the weird stuff people buy. I had someone buy a metallic men's thong a while back. :)

I used to sell on Amazon. I totally would, but I was in wholesale. I would buy pallets at a time. I don't have the room nowadays and I don't know any decent dropshippers, otherwise I would, for sure. It was very lucrative.

Because people trust amazon, it's not easy to open an unknown store and have a ton of people buy, you'd need to mass advertise, seo work to rank high in google. For a lot of people it's just to much hassle.

Yep, it's a step further than pure internet marketing, but its totally worth it in my opinion. thing is I live in China, and I wouldn't imagine doing this in the EU or US. Cheap labor, lots of suppliers,.. it has its advantages for this kind of business.

Not at all, if your Amazon store converts, people have their wallet out, they don't know they're gonna be redirected to amazon (right? I've never done it so maybe i'm totally wrong). I think the Amazon affiliate is only the logistics aspect which you avoid. The only difference is you don't have to pack and ship the parcels yourself. If you do that step yourself, you can multiply your income by 10 easy.

lol nothing illega dude :) well atleast I don't suggest you anything like that , actually I`m trying to warn you kindly do not try anything like this on your main account . Think about only a second they are a multi-million dollar company , and they have maybe best IT infrastructure ... :) Anyway ... the 90 days cookies are simply legit , bit hard to accomplish them but ... worth the try if you already know the magic trick to bring legit traffic to your sites :)
only reason for stuffing was '' popular '' , was because loads of peoples loves easy or no work at all . But this days already past ... well not in the way like we remember from '' gold days '' lol .
Gurl there are loads of dropshippers , mostly on US ... don't be afraid of the big G. just hit the search engines with few related search term I`m pretty sure you will find them by yourself .

There are loads of drop shippers, but finding a reliable one with current stock who will dropship to your customer with your labeling is a bit of a problem. Especially if your volume is very low, which it is at first. I had a good start when the companies flaked out on me and started back ordering a bunch of stuff. You can only stack that so long before your customers start to fade. I ended up doing so much scrambling back forth between finding alternate sources and refunding, I pulled the site. The stress was incredible.

But if I found a drop shipper who did their business like I have described, with products in stock, I would try again. Right now I am going over lists of drop shippers and looking at their sites, contacting them, ect trying to find suppliers.
