What's up. I'll get straight to the point. A few years ago I was able to generate decent profits with YouTube,
unfortunately my channel got taken down (copyright strikes). After 7 years, a friend helped me,
and we opened a legal case. This brought the channel back.

Now I have a monetized channel, with over 100k subs, verified and even got the silver play button (irony of life).

My problem: I only have 1000 views per day, but... +500 videos with 5m-100k views each.

Question is: How should I go about growing the 6-7 years old videos with 5m-100k views each?

My thoughts: For me the best solution might be posting the videos to relevant communites on reddit, facebook etc.
Yet it's tough to index all the links manually. Another way is probably to run ads on fb/ig.

In case anybody got a good hint for me on what could really bring back the views for my channel,
please let me know. Appreciating any help and happy to answer any questions towards youtube.

Thanks!

You need a new channel now. The experience of earlier channel will help you grow this channel faster. In this channel, post once a week and keep earnin whatever it gives.

Is It monetized with adsense or partner ?
Yeah Adsense. Why go with a partner?

Yeah good point, I feel this. The subscribers aren't active so the algorithm thinks: if 98% of subs aren't watching, the video isn't good enough for exposure either.

1 month before getting back my main channel, I started a new one with the same name and same concept.
My first video has 600k views after 90 days now, 2k subs and channel is monetized too. Right now I use the backup channel to promote my main videos.

I try to run up both at the same time. Obviously can't let the +100k channel just die without trying.
It will most definitely need some more external traffic, to get the videos keywords ranked again.

Try an make new videos more interesting than your formal uploads to interest your viewers and followers to watch and rewatch
Apparently this works well. I was trying out old and new concepts the past 2-3 months. Also done some collaborations with bigger channels.
This way I am slowly figuring out what people inside my niche prefer to watch today. Most of my subscribers have outgrown the content. After 7 years thats no wonder.
Yet I have a high chance to make the content interesting for all anges. Luckily my niche is relevant enough and kinda flexible.

Most subscribers have changed their youtube accounts during 7 years. So the only value this account has is the monetisation and authority to the public

Did you at least get the lost income back from the past 7 years?

Yeah I agree. It's more attractive to have a verified channel, yet it's "useless" without a fanbase. In a matter of building views,
the OG channel is still doing good, because the algorithm is actually prefering my videos and sends it to the front page of yt.
For my smaller channel this isn't working so well, even though I focus on much bigger viral concepts.

About the income, there is nothing to claim anymore. I was paid for the views I generated.
The overall health is improving slowly, RPM going up too and within the first 3 months, I was able to get 4-6 times more ad payout.

I will keep going with both channels and see which one performs better over time. Thanks!

Wrong, Youtube algorithm has passed this level, they now understand when your subscribers are dead or not interested in your contents anymore and will stop recommending your video to these old subscribers instead, they will help you look for new audience. you can also choose not to send notification to your channel subscribers while uploading a video now

Hey,

Your getting only 1000s of views due to the channel being inactive for a while due to the issues you faced, however the good thing is your channel has got very high "view authority ", you can literally use this to your advantage, we would suggest that you start by posting some really trending topics , you can choose a new niche if you feel that the old videos or old niche is no longer that relevant.

Aged channels with high authority views enter the yt algo with a little bit of consistent uploads compared to other channels.

Note- if your still not getting views, there may be one issue and that could be because your channel has got copyright strikes , it may be in a temporary shadowban situation, like we suggested, upload a few videos like say 1-2 months and if nothing works, it's better to sell of the channel for a really good price.

- also do not forget to experiment by adding promotion methods like views and likes and etc to your new uploads, search some good reliable smm panels in the marketplace here in BHW.

Goodluck

Yeah 100% I'm with you and your answer is really inspiring thanks!
This is exactly what I noticed as well. Since it's aged and verified, a lot of views come from the youtube algorithm / front page.
The channel is getting a lot of impression too. At this point it's really just about relevant and trending content as you said.

About the promotion / buy views methods... I'm not too sure. I do not want to risk losing my channel again.
Eventually I try this on a backup channel and redirecting the organic traffic to my main channel.

Thanks!

I just started again with my old channel with 30k subs. The views same like you, 300 - 1000 view per video. But i see the views increase over time. Maybe YouTube's algorithm needs time to analyze and "relearn" the content on old channels.

Good luck on your journey! Yeah I think it's possible to grow it back. And with every other channel too, you just need unique concepts and build a community around it.
Try to use the community tab. You can reach people who haven't subscribed to your channel and you can include hashtags as well. Some people just post memes to boost their reach. I might try that and come back with some insights. So far my channel is doing okay. Ofc... I'm still a bit far away of 200k views a day (like before), but the likes and comments are rising with every new video. So that's a good sign. Got to keep pushing!

I recommend considering the creation of a new channel. It is likely that many of the subscribers you had seven years ago have since changed their accounts. However, you can maintain a consistent upload schedule of videos every one to two weeks. Additionally, you may start creating YouTube Shorts to further grow your channel, if this format goes well with your content strategy :)

Update your video titles, descriptions, and tags to improve searchability. Use relevant keywords that align with current trends.

Have you tried posting relevant videos and see a good result? Since this is an old channel you’re trying to revive, I think you’ll face the same challenge as creating a new channel. I also have around 50k subs then abandoned it for around a year, when I return, I get a really bad view count on new videos. As a result, some comment on my new videos says that I have botted the channel (which I don’t). If I were you, I will just start a new channel and build a new audience from scratch. These new audiences are much better than your old audience since they are the ones who are now active on YouTube. In my case, I started a new channel a few months back and I am now monetized. Getting around 3-5k views on the first day of each upload. I am currently at 10k subs.

Hi, could you please explain how did it go in terms of a legal battle with YT? Im trying something myself in this context. I sent you a PM, please respond.

I have setup a channel that is 2 x months old, and have been boosting it using high quality SMM panel services. Now Youtube has started sending me some organic traffic, but nothing to write home about. I just cannot seem to crack the AG code.

Keep going, it's worth it! Improve your content and try to create some Hero Videos.
My videos gain a lot more views now than they did before. I just kept going with uploading and creating interesting concepts.

I did that as well, but the precious 100k, verified channel is just too perfect. My second channel generated over 1m views. But my main channel, oh boy it's coming back now! Also I kinda adjusted the content for my second channel, this way I can grow inside two very similar niches at the same time, yet have a little different fan bases (variations in age)

Yeah, certainly a good idea. Especially because there were some changes within the past 7 years. Updating social-links, keywords, 3 hashtags per video etc.
I'm still working on it, since it is a little time consuming (I figured it's not worth to use a bulk tool for it, this only fs it up). I changed my endcards with tubebuddy, that was effective since I got lots of videos and the endcard can be the same on every video, except for some special concepts.

I went on a journey and checked out what is trending today. I also got in contact with a lot of successful people inside my niche.
This way I was able to create some offical concepts / do collaborations. One of my videos is now peaking after 3 months.
Hard to tell where it's going to, right now it generates +10,000 views / 24h (still growing).

There is always a chance to revive a "dead" channel, you just got to try hard enough! And yes, creating a new one can be easier.

Hi, could you please explain how did it go in terms of a legal battle with YT? Im trying something myself in this context. I sent you a PM, please respond.
Step 1. Get a Lawyer
Step 2. let him write a letter / email (counterclaim @Youtube)
Step 3. Wait and see what Youtube replies
Step 4. They need more Information? Deliver and swear you own all rights.
Step 5. Wait and see what happens
Out Come A. Get your channel back, because the claimant is broke or doesn't react (within 14 days? I think).
Out Come B. You won't get your channel back, because youtube has enough evidence against you.
Out Come C. You go to curt, because the claimant got money and wants to fight against it.

It can be a little tricky, therefore you should get advise from somebody / let somebody do it, who really knows the game.

Now since you are using SMM panel services and still get organic views from youtube, this means the paid views are HQ and effective?
W if you rank on YouTube, L if the paid views only add the number and won't increase your reach.

A member here revived his old channels thanks to his bot and it seems to work wonder. Basically the bot increase CTR.

Thanks for the share! I will have a read, this looks interesting.
