Well about 10 mins ago I went to the gas station to go get a blunt and a pack of cigs. So I go in pay for my stuff and walk out the door. As Im walking out this guy driving a pickup truck stops and talks to me.

He said that he was from Utah and responded to a job posting here in Vegas to fix about 6 cars. I guess he emailed the guy and got an auto repsonse telling him to come out to Vegas and call this number (which I think was a pre paid phone) when he got here. So the guy who posted the job wanted him to fill out an ID check cuz he was going to be staying at this guys house (LMAO nice one) So the guy did and drove out to Vegas from St. George, UT....which is about a 3 hour drive.

So the guy from Utah gets to Vegas and keeps callling the phone...The guy picks up and told him it was a prank.

So now this guy is sitting at the gas station with no money to get back home. I felt like he was being honest. He had his kid brother with him and a bunch of tools in his truck. His story was really convincing.

I was almost tempted to ask him for this guys email or whatever cuz thats a pretty good method lol

Well after thinking about I felt bad and was like the hell with it....so I filled up his gas tank.....I dunno maybe I was the one who just got played for a tank of gas lol

Anyways it does make for a great CL story...

Reminds me of that Episode of Lost where they "sell" jewelry at a gas station.

    Nice con.

Regardless of whether you got played, your heart is in the right spot. It won't hurt your karma, either.

That was so crazy- Cassidy was selling fake jewelry and Kate buys some as to prove the legitimacy. That's how they become friends.

    /hijack... i'm a bit of a LOST fanatic.

Good this wasn't Norway, where the gas is very expensive, $2 for each litre of gas. A full tank on my car costs me $90....

That is a good point about the security check as he would be staying with him.

I would also like to say nice one for getting him his gas to get home, good deeds don't go unnoticed.

Well Done, not many people would have helped the guy out, they would have left him stranded, but that was great thing you did there.

The cl thing though is a good method but a bit sh***y for the people getting scammed to make them drive 3 hours only to tell them it is a prank is a bit mean of you ask me.
But hey to some people money is more important than peoples well being. to be honest I could never do this and this probably why I am not doing to good money wise, but it will come eventually. I know it will.

It was very nice of you to help him out. And if the guy's story was true, I think that the prank had gone a bit too far. Anyway, good on you! Good deeds are always rewarded many folds.

Think of the Karma - what you give out you get back later.

My view is that there is a difference between being cunning and a con artist - where that line is - its different for everyone.

I think you did the right thing - random acts of kindness are good

Vegas, that was a good thing to do, thanks given just for that :)

But that's a shitty method - I'm all for "innocent" blackhatting but that's a bit too fucked up. Just in my opinion..no need to start ranting how this is BHW and that bs.

(this is, if it was really true and you're not the one who got scammed:))

Thanks for all the love guys...Yea I know this is a profitable method for sure...but at the same time it is very wrong. I just felt real bad for him and I could tell by the look on his face he wanted to cry...He was driving a truck and putting gas in it wasnt cheap lol

But like I said BH and the Net have been real good to especially as of late so I guess its ok to give back.

You left out the part how you made him go Leonardo di Caprio (a la Basketball Diaries) before you filled up the tank. Sicko.
