ok... so my grandma just died and I quit my job, I still have my durango thats paid off, so I think i'm gonna put everything I have in my durango and rent a storage building for 6 months in advance, then park the durango into the storage building and get my money and go straight to Hawaii and try to hustle every way I possibly know how. I'm gonna be designing ads for web design, SEO, Computer repair, iPhone repair, and a lot of other things I can't think of right now. What would you guys do as soon as u landed in Hawaii??? I will have just my backpack with my clothes and my iPhone 4S with a solar charger and 3 tracking devices on the iphone

So you're into iphone repair or just some CPA network? And why Hawaii? It's a pretty expensive place if you don't have a plan.

try to impress the hawaiian girls :eyebrows:

though seriously it would be good to have irl 9-5 secure job for bills + investments. So I would start applying at PC repair shops.

Cost of living = SUPER high. You should really have a solid plan, with a nice chunk of change for living expenses set aside. A small apartment on one of the major islands will run you dry.

That's a bold move congrats on chasing your dream.

Yeah, like others it's pretty hard moving to a new place with no plan. If i've learnt anything from watching Dog the Bounty Hunter, it's that Hawaii has a serious meth problem. So, get sellin' bruh.

I would've done what I'm best at, I wish you luck!

slow down there slick, Hawaii is a hell of an expensive getaway.. Ppl go head and do what you want to do after there mills are lined up, not before lol ...

But nothings impossible, start applying online for jobs out there and build/optimize your business sites (web design, seo, ect) for hawaii and the local city you plan on stayin at..

I plan on just couch surfin and networking with people for places to stay, and the other times I'll go crash out on the beach. All I need is my iPhone 4S and I can make money from it. How would u guys make money from a new iPhone 4s? If u wanna see my videos then search for JLeeSmith69 on u tube

Follow 7878's steps and aid in the ORM process. I mean you really can't get better than that. If some company has a bad reputation, get them to go onboard at a rate of 600/mo or higher.

Wait, you will just have your iphone, no laptop? If so that is a terrible idea IMO... you definitely need some sort of actual computer

I would assume that is illegal in Hawaii and so you could easily get slapped with a fine. When the cops see your iphone they aren't going to just tell you to move along like they do with regular homeless people. Not to mention people will try to steal your phone. If you have never been homeless before, make sure you seek advice from people on how to blend in so you don't draw attention to yourself. I just don't think Hawaii is the best place to start this off.

Are you white/black/tanned skin? That makes a big difference. Learn what areas you should stick to based on your skin color and outer appearance. I am pretty sure Racism is big in Hawaii when it comes to outsiders.

I will log onto the team viewer app on my phone and control my Alienware laptop and desktop sittin at my parents house in Oklahoma

Well looks like I'll have to work harder couch surfing and meetin girls. I am native american and white

Not really a great plan is it. A few years ago I did something similar only another part of the world. I went abroad to set up a company. I had to return to where I live.

I had a business plan, I certainly had the motivation. For a lot of people its a dream.
If you are going to do it make sure you have capital behind you make sure you have a better plan than the current one and also makesure you have money put away to return home if things turn sour.

And what happens when something happens to the computer and there is no one to turn it back on? The house gets hit by a tornado.... guess the computer will be down for a while. Bad plan.

First thing you should do is buy a round trip ticket with an open date for the return. It sounds all fun and games but when you live on an island, you live on an island. There is no just driving across state lines. I lived on an island for 6 years and I do not care to do it again unless I own the whole thing.

This has got to be the worst idea I've ever read. You're going to move to one of the most expensive places on earth after quitting your job and you're only going to have an iphone and a backpack so are essentially going to be homeless and planning on sleeping on the beach?

You say you can make money from your iphone on youtube, but if that's the case why did you need a job? If you couldn't make enough on youtube to live on the mainland without a job then how do you expect to in hawaii?

I'm also not sure about the laws etc, but I'm sure you'll get questioned for having a 1 way ticket, no money and only a backpack!

Dreams are good, but it seems here you're not just jumping in at the deep end, but jumping in a dark shark-infested pool covered in blood. :)

There are better options for you than going to hawaii if you just want to get out there, see the world and hustle it. Go to south america or thailand. Costa Rica is nice. You don't need to settle in 1 place if you do that either, you can move about and do what you feel like day to day.

But you have to get a laptop before you go. That's essential. Good luck whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll have a blast.

I wouldn't go to Hawaii. I would go to the Philippines or Thailand where I could live cheap and hustle 12-14 hours a day. If I didn't know anything from the start I would use this forum to learn methods and test, test test.

Hopefully you have a decent savings stashed back for a rainy day.

i'd first create some good solid sources income amount before going there and starting it this way you know how much you'll making and need.

Have any of you been to Hawaii? It is not that expensive. There are a lot of slummy places to live. Yes, the tourist spots are expensive, but there are plenty of areas that are not. I have spent more on trips to California or NY.

The real problem is employment. Finding a job that will actually pay the bills. Hawaii has a tight community that likes to hire those who have been there a while or are native. Do not move there until you have a job.

Otherwise, you will get there and be stuck. Nothing would be worse that being stuck on a island with no money to get back home.

I would contact or get a friend there that you can stay with, until you get a job or source of income.

Why not get some IM money rolling in first? That way you have an income before you go.
