Okay, so I am using Godaddy and Filezilla. What a pain in my ass! They take an easy thing and make it difficult!

How hard can it be? Take some graphics that you want to use in your website and host them. Take that code and insert them into an html table. Then take that html and host it. 1,2,3. Website up and going.

What's the deal? There has got to be an easier way! If anyone knows of a better host or way to get my website up and going let me know.

Hey man, thanks for the advice. I went to the Hostgator, but couldn't find the box to check that said FREE?

What's up? Is there a place I can go that isnt owned by a bunch of whitehat freemasons? -LOL

P.S. I choose to keep my mind free of drugs! I am already crazy enough.

try smartftp, it's not free but you can "crack it" by setting your clock back a few months and starting it.. not sure if that will help but i tried filezilla and i hated it (didn't work)

Well you are complaining about basic operations needed to build most sites with full control. Filezilla is very functional and I don't see it as slow (learn it well and it can go faster). If you aren't into this kind of web-development activity, and you also don't know Unix (oh miracles can be done with curl, vps and bash), maybe you should try some basic autoblogging solution with web-based interface, some system that just rewrites rss feeds or some already installed web2 platform (eg Ning and the like).

Nothing like big bright red letters and bright bold text.

I've used filezilla for a long time now. It's one of the easiest FTP programs I've used don't understand how someone could have so much trouble with it.

filezilla is easy once u get used to it. And godaddy has a java-based ftp prog that u use from within your hosting area (yeah it's backwards but it's not hard to use).
