I pulled my 301 Redirect. Now my site isn't re-indexing?

I had a site 301 redirected to another site for about 2 months. I just pulled the site now and it is not re-indexing. I have since made an additional post and that has already indexed but the main domain has not.

Should I be concerned over this? It has been about 3 days since I pulled the redirect. Could it be a penalty? I'm guessing that if there was a penalty and my site won't be reindexed then my additional blog page won't index either.

I've had a site for months that had an old 301 redirect and the index page still isn't indexed correctly. You should have done a temp redirect if you knew you were going to put it back online.

No sometimes Google takes 2 weeks to update indexes. Usually like 3 days for me though, give it a week.

Also, how does a 301 redirect work? Sorry but I've seen them around, but do they load the money site domain or load the money site page on the 301 redirect domain?

Backlink it, make some new posts, and give it time. These things aren't instant.
