I own a specific domain.
Its short and has expensive keywords.

When i go to namecheap or other sites who check if domain is available, then they show that its available and "Domain xxxxxx is available! $49000.20 "Add to cart".

Why?

Domain is parked and i host some of my own private files. For my own backup just.
I have full access to hosting and domain from hosting / domain company control panel.

Im confused.
I want to sell it but actually i see its available? Wtf??

Can somebody explain whats going on?

Thank you

I mean, it's "available" for $49000.20 and not $9.90 ( :

I believe there is an option to make an offer for all domains, it's yours but people can still make offers, not sure how that goes but, something like that.

Its weird that for same name i have .EU domain also.
And for this they show: Not available.

Im telling, its confusing.
But Im working on it.

You bought the domain but the others can still make an offer that is why is appear still available

Yeah but not every website is available.
How is that?

Who decides, if and when its available?
Maybe i want to buy microsoft.com domain but they say its not available.
For obvious reasons but still, maybe i have more money than MS and i want it.

Its just confusing a bit and made me worry.
Its good that i have lock on domain. I was worried for a sec that i lost it.
Im still worried but I do have full control on it.
After i bought it, owner gave me all details and i changed every password to extremly strong passwords and moved the domain to my own hosting.
I should be safe.

Whats the good place to offer the domains for sale?
Its niche specific. Where to find these rich people who would pay for this?
Should i put it on flippa or are there better places?

Thanks

Prior owner had it for sale at that price. Might want to contact those registers and let them know.

i think its an option on the settings. you can put that you are willing to get offers for your domain (or not). check on the settings and ask support if its bothering you.

Hello there. It's because the register considers the domain as premium and is on sale. But it should not be like that unless you listed it up for sale. The process is... If someone is interested in your domain and pays the listed amount, the register will contact you regarding the sale. The final decision is yours. If you do not feel comfortable seeing your domain is up for sale like that. Just contact the register via chat support or email. Tell them that you do not want to see the domain to be listed as an available domain. They will surely take care of this case. I had a similar situation and I got it sorted by contacting the register. Good luck to you!

Exact. it's because certainly it is a premium domain. I have some and they are also listed on certain platforms... I regulary check my renewal date. Especially if you took 2/3/5 years cycle ! it's easy to forget to renew.
Don't worry about that :)
