I own a store front in Queens, NY.

We offer IT services such as:

    Computer Services
    Cell Phone Repairs
    Web Development
Business Networking (Routers, Servers, Emailing, etc)
    CCTV Installation
    Web Hosting
    ETC

I need marketing ideas. How do I drive traffic to our store? Get more clients so hire us for their IT needs...We're good at what we do....any ideas?

I got an great idea! Search this forum and read a lot!
Things you can reasearch are SEO & Social Media. Get high on google and let people know you exist on social media.

Dont got time or are you too lazy to read, hire a marketer.

    Good luck

I have time to read. To be honest, we're already on the first page of google for the search: "computer repairs in 'city im in'". We're rated 5 stars on yelp and i have a facebook/IG page going. But thats not enough. I was hoping for some more ideas.

    We already do. LOL

Have Car Magnets printed with your store info and some of the products you offer. Keep the design simple, easy to read and easy to digest. Place them on your own car and offer the magnets to friends, family members and employees. You could make it into a referral system (using coupons on the magnets for example) and give them a referral fee if someone purchases using their coupon.

Free computer checkups for businesses that are your target market.
If you have those freebie papers up there those draw real well for the repair work and are cheap.

You probably have a lot of people walking by your store. Get a good sized plasma screen behind your front window. Create a really catchy video about surveillance for example. Something that catches the eye of people walking by.

Approach new stores or stores to be established. Talk to the owner, maybe they need help with their surveillance? Perhaps with their network setup? Maybe a new site? I'm sure there's something.

Set a site up and find someone that specializes in local SEO.

So many things can be done. I feel like the most important is to build a solid brand that connects with the market and your local area.

How about creating a PC & Mobile app, so users can scan their PC's and mobiles, and app will return like 4-5 errors(even if they dont exist), then mention your company url to get those errors fixed. As an expert computer and mobile repair guy you should be able to find those 4-5 errors on pc's and mobiles.

Awesome, let us know how it goes. Also another tip when it comes approaching businesses about surveillance. Go for a store in an area where there's perhaps a higher crime rate compared to areas outside of it. They will likely have a higher interest in getting their shop secured.

Establish local demographics and issue reasoning with regards to strategic product placement.

Other than that read through reviews and analyze what competitors fail to incorporate so you can do it yourself.

    Borrowing from BassTrackerBoats' post...

Use voice broadcast to reach out to 1,000's of business owners in your vicinity offering a free computer tuneup or help them speed up performance....or something along those lines.

We use vb to generate leads in a particular niche, and it's very effective.

I'd approach all the shops in the area and offer them an hour or two of free IT support per month in return for both an advert in their shop and a link on their website.

You'd benefit in 5 ways from this:

    1. The advertising
    2. Some of those shop owners would become a revenue source when they experienced bigger IT problems
    3. Free backlinks - placed by you, exactly where you wanted them :)
    4. When you organised the link on their site, you'd have an opportunity to upsell them on web services
    5. If they don't have a website, offer to set one up for them

Find the closest (or 10 closest ;)) local eateries that serve your target market. Offer to print their fliers for them in exchange for co-op space on the flyer. Something clever like 'don't let computer problems eat your lunch - call xxx-xxx-4461 now for your solution!'

Get everyone on your list by giving away a free lunch for 5 office 'buddies' once a week...drinks not included ;) Advertise restaurants for a fee plus the giveaway. Free weekly security alert/tips/etc. email to stay in the mix. Get them once, advertise to them forever :D
