I was at Dairy Queen with my 15 year old son today, it was hot as shit out so we stopped in for some ice cream. My son has been learning a little about IM and even started reading BHW to find new methods...he is quickly creating youtube methods, where I am more of a CL guy. Anyways...this is what we overheard at the next table over (4 people there)

Old guy: "I saw this thing where you could get a $50 restaurant gift card, and all you had to do was fill out a survey. Well I filled one out, then it made me fill out a 2nd one, and they kept going...before I knew it, 30 minutes had passed and I must have filled out 7 or 8 surveys...they kept asking for my emails address. Then, after all that, they finally want me to sign up and buy something with my credit card, and it's an automatic subscription, but you can cancel any time."

Younger lady: "So did you get the gift card?"

Old guy: "No. I think because I cancelled the automatic re-charging they had set up on my credit card, it made it so I won't get the gift card anymore."

Younger lady: "Sounds like you learned your lesson!"

    Old guy: "Yeah."

    Hahahahahaha OWNED!!!!!

I was laughing so hard listening to this...sounds like some BH'er just got $paid$!!! There must have been at least 5 or 6 email submits in there, and a rebill!?!?! Thats like $40 - $60 someone made off of his ass!!

Yeh it's great with gullible people. How can we not like them when they're putting the butter on our dead-dry bread ;)

Sounds like he filled out a normal email submit :p

After you fill out one, and put all your info (name/address, ect)
it just keeps having you do more until you've payed for that 'free' gift card. then it asks you to buy something.. try filling one out, you'll see :p

either way, must have been fun.. reminds me of the time i was at a friends partying and
some kid i never met before came in, he was a cool kid so i talked to him for a bit and we got to talking about youtube..

turns out he actually filled out one of my offers to see the full video of the girl taking her shirt off :p
i felt bad so i showed him the legit video Lol

    its a small, small world..

I was watching a friend of mine browse some music website when the full page Adbrite ad popped up. He carried on without even noticing that he was no longer on the site he was a minute ago. I said: "Mate, I live off people like you".

Yeah, if you read the terms for that it's like in order to get your $50 gift card you must complete 2 silver, 3 gold, and 4 platnium offers. Almost all of them have a CC required.

Me too...before learning about IM, I had tried a couple times to make money filling out surveys, filling out forms, etc. The junk mail would go crazy, and I'm sure affiliates acct balances increased. Nice to be on this side of the field now.

Hearing this conversation made me have 100% confidence that IM is here to stay. Never underestimate the money that can be made off of American peoples stupidity.
